@seekjustice Hi!! That’s okay. I was too. 😉 How’s it going? I’ve been desperately waiting for someone to be actually writing instead of just planning because I need to have some word wars. My book isn’t progressing, and that’s the best way I can think of to force it to write itself. 😛

@xonos-darkgrate Hi! I remember seeing you around here, though I don’t believe we’ve ever directly spoken – er – posted to each other before. 😉 You know @dekreel don’t you?
(I have successfully posted a GIF…once…)
Anyway, welcome back to KP. 🙂

I honestly think this is a matter for your conscience. Some Christians feel comfortable writing/reading books with swearing, others don’t. I personally choose not to add in curse words because I just don’t see the point. I think it also depends on who you’re writing for. Middle grade, for example, I don’t think should ever have…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Xonos Darkgrate once made a topic about swear words. Maybe it has what you’re looking for, maybe not. . . See how it works for you! 🙂

@jenwriter17 I’ll probably be on again around 10:30 or 11:00 EST.
I’m currently humming the theme song of the Dick Van Dyke show in my head, though. 😉

I know. I didn’t know she was brilliant. But did she have a daughter who wrote too? It might have been her daughter’s books.
Oooh, the Bounty is an Australian thing!

@seekjustice Cool! Well, if you get a chance to read the full Viking Quest series, let me know what you think, because I absolutely love that series! 😉
What?!! Got rid of Grace Livingston Hill books?? 🙁 🙁 That’s sad. 😛
My favorite of Ballantyne’s books is The Lonely Island, which is a fictionalized version of the story of the Mutineers of…[Read more]

Yep, I managed to find them all on Koorong.
I’ll definitely have to see if I can find the rest of those 😀
I would love to speed-read through your library 😛
I think I had some of Grace Livingston Hill’s books, but unfortunately I had to cull them. Whoops 😛 (But hey, I have so many books that my bookcases are bursting at the…[Read more]

@seekjustice There are five books in the Viking Quest series.
There are seven more books in the Young Underground series, following A Way Across the Sea, and then there is a series set a few years later which is not really connected except a couple of the characters leech over to make “cameo” appearances. 😉
Aw, too bad. 🙁 Well, when you come…[Read more]

I have the first two Viking Quest books and I enjoyed them when I read them several years ago. Do you know how many more there are in the series?
Oh, I’ve got one of Robert Elmer’s books too! A Way Across the Sea I think it’s called, and I really, really like that one. I’ve never got anymore of his books because they aren’t in p…[Read more]
