If your library/dad doesn’t have it it’s free online since it’s long out of copyright 😀 😀

@william-starkey I think you’d definitely enjoy it. I think it fits your style. 😀
I finished it the other day and really enjoyed it! It was a very good book and I thought the themes were very well thought out. I think it was such a good portrayal of why creation belongs to God and God alone, as well as the downfalls…[Read more]

Hey there! I’m so sorry to hear that your story was rejected. That’s really hard to deal with. I remember my very first rejection and how crushing it was, and honestly how crushing every other rejection has been since then. Rejection isn’t ever easy, but unfortunately it’s just a part of how the writer’s life goes.
What keeps me…[Read more]

SeekJustice replied to the topic A Show For Creative Entrepreneurs in the forum Publishing & Platform 4 years, 1 month ago
@reaganramm I would be interested either way! There’s plenty of tips I could glean from a show dedicated to different types of creators, even though I’m not very creative apart from writing. But a show dedicated just to writing would also be immensely helpful!

Well, I really liked the first draft of the first book, which I think wasn’t originally intended to be a retelling at all, if I recall correctly? So unless you feel it’s necessary to go along with your original plans, I’m sure you’d do great with a non-retelling plot. Or maybe you could do something Scarlet Pimpernel inspired, w…[Read more]

Yeah, that’s probably an idea. I really want to finish the trilogy this year so I’m rereading the first two so I can get a good idea. The original plot was a Scarlet Pimpernel retelling but the Scarlet Pimpernel is very different to the other two so the third book was coming off more as a standalone story and it just wasn’t working.…[Read more]

Yeah, adding a satisfactory ending would be really hard after that. I mean, if you had a new leader come in and save the day just before Zac is killed, readers would probably laugh at it as too convenient. Whereas if you had all the executions attract the new leader’s attention, but he got there right after Zac’s death, that w…[Read more]

I also don’t really know that, but ending with the execution of a major character probably isn’t it 😀
Are you/were you planning to have a Pakistani wedding like your brother did?

What kind of ending would a duology need? A new leader and form of government and they all live happily ever after? Or just a sparkle of hope that someday in the future things will get better?
The wedding is scheduled for the beginning of March. We were planning a big wedding, but at this point we’re not sure how many people wo…[Read more]

I think I was??? Maybe. I can’t remember now. I do like it the way it is though, I just don’t have any cohesive plot for the third book and this one doesn’t end in a duology ending sort of way.
That sounds so much fun! When are you planning on getting married? Are you able to have a big wedding or it only going to be small?

Ah yes, that was a fun book. Weren’t you going to dissemble it and combine it with the Quillon story?
Well, the one I did for them previously was a musical, with four songs. And musicals are usually more fun than just straight plays. So, although I haven’t decided on what songs to write, I plan to write a few if I can.
It’ll ju…[Read more]

I’m just rereading my SFI sequel. I opened it randomly the other day and have been reading through it since. It’s better than I remembered 😛
Ooh that sounds so fun! I used to do that sort of thing a lot, unfortunately none of my youngest brothers are very into plays. I hope it works out well! Is it a musical?

Wonderful!
What are you working on?
I’m just getting started on a new play for my little sisters. My youngest sister has been begging me to write another one before I get married, so this is a rush job. Has to be done by the end of the month. 😉 I’ve been trying to think of an idea, and finally got one a couple of days ago, an…[Read more]
