  • Louise Fowler replied to the topic Character Art Exchange in the forum Art 9 years, 1 month ago

@aysia-serene But you won’t know if you don’t try it 😉 I loved your “loose anime style” that you did for, Taren, was it? It was so cute! 😀

@i-j-anderson We are unworthy! That’s amazing! I don’t I’ve ever really thought of trying white onto black paper, but now that I’ve seen this… I still won’t try because there is no conceivable way I will make it look 2/8ths that good! (I could possibly do 1/8th, but there’s not much point to that, is there? 😛 XD)

  • @emma-flournoy Yee-ap! But I’m not constantly thinking about it/stressing over it/being super excited now that they’re submitted, so I think I can relax for the time being 😉

@kina-lamb Yeah, when I read my friends’ stories, I’m very happy to point out all the niggly little grammar things and suggest ways to make it read a bit better (sometimes I feel I’m too picky!) And I think it’s because, with your own story, you’ve read it over and over and over so many times, it gets dull. But, in my case, at least, when I’m…[Read more]

  • @dragon-snapper @ethryndal Both entries are sent and now all I have to do it wait… To quote Inigo Montoya, “I hate to wait….”

  • So, excitement!

I just submitted my story to the Home Life contest and am currently waiting for a reply from the Bunyan contest people due to *ahem* technical difficulties (i.e. I put my email address in wrong D: )

So as soon as that can be fixed, the second story will entered as well 🙂

Thanks for everyone’s tips and support! Thanks you, Daeus…[Read more]

Well, here is where you’ll find it, if anywhere 😉

Haha! Yeah, I “like” editing! *strangles manuscript* But seriously, I actually don’t, and I’ve been putting of editing this particular project, which actually also needs some rewriting *rolls eyes* but it’s actually one of the first projects I’ve finished in a looooooong time, so I really don’t…[Read more]

Oooh, what is your children’s book about? 😀

I have like 4 and half projects, including editing stuff that I’m working on. All of them could fall into the fantasy category, with differing degrees, because some include magic, but most of them are just set in a fictional places 😉

    • hm… that’s what I’m still trying to decide. See, I haven’t started writing it, but I’ve been diligently writing drafts – that’s one of the reasons I joined Kingdom Pen, I needed some inspiration. 🙂

That’s great, @perfectfifths! I’m so glad you like editing – it’s one of my hobbies. 🙂

What kind of things do you like to write, @kina-lamb?

    • I’m currently working on a children’s book. It’s really fun. What types of things are you writing?

    • @perfectfifths *laughs out loud.* Yes, I know what you mean, actually. I guess I hadn’t thought about editing my own stories. I don’t like to do that nearly as much as I like to edit other people’s stories. I love editing other people’s stories, but I don’t get the same kind of thrill and enthusiasm when I’m editing mine. 😀 Ha ha!

    @i-j-anderson I’m glad 🙂 I’m just really enjoy drawing everyone’s characters 😀

  • Louise Fowler replied to the topic Character Art Exchange in the forum Art 9 years, 1 month ago

@i-j-anderson Those are amazing! Oops! I forgot about the tattoo (and I don’t even have the excuse that it’s covered up – her shoulder is bare 😉 ) I also see what you mean about the hair – everywhere, wild and curly!

  • Louise Fowler replied to the topic Character Art Exchange in the forum Art 9 years, 1 month ago

@dragon-snapper I agree, I have seen lots of different styles and they’re all amazing! I love @aysia-serene‘s drawing! And i-j-anderson is so talented at realism. And @kate-flournoy has a very unique realistic-but-not-quite style 😀

    Homeschooled!
Also went to kindy, but that was it. My brother got to grade 1. Best thing ever. Technically finished, but we’re still goin’ strong, we have so much interesting stuff and curriculum we want to finish 😀

    • @jane-maree, Hello!
To start with, I apologize that I have stalked your and @perfectfifths conversation. *hee hee!* Will you forgive me? 😉
      I’m also an Aussie! 🙂 And homeschooled…
Looking forward to seeing you around!

    • @perfectfifths ooh cool! 😀 Home school is the best, definitely. Those people out there who think we’re weird…well, they’re right. XD We are weird. But we’re a cool sort of weird, and I love it. 😛

@clairec howdy!! *waves* Ho humm. Should I forgive you? *thinks hard* *takes a council for twelve days* Yep okay. You’re forgiven. 😛

    Yay!! 😉
So, do you homeschool, or go to regular school? (just tryin’ to think of conversation topics 😛 )

  • Louise Fowler posted a new activity comment 9 years, 1 month ago

Yeah, but if it’s done really well, no one’s going to care about the clichés. I’ve written a story that is full of clichés (can’t say it’s done really well, but it was fun and the people who read it seem to enjoy it 😉 )
