Great! I wrote 900 words and remembered a few plot details I had forgotten. I love when that happens so that I don’t have to keep making things up when the details are forgotten. Nice work! Thanks for letting me write with you! I think this was our first time to do so! It’s so motivating to have someone to work with!

@overcomer how’d your planning go? I got quite a bit laid out and a little bit written.

@overcomer I’m so used to auto-save that I get surprised when a webpage doesn’t save my work. 🙂

@overcomer Me, me, pick me!!! *waves hand wildly about* I can write for a bit unless my mom needs me. Actually I’ll probably be doing a bit of outlining, not sure if I’ll get to the writing part.

@overcomer fun fun. 🙂
@Daeus actually chess, preferably. 😀 I’m writing again now, and will probably stop around four, unless someone needs me before then.
Honestly though, if you feel like you’re maxing out, don’t keep pushing yourself. I lost my perspective that way once, and it took me about two weeks to get it back. This all day stuff takes…[Read more] -

I’m writing now, if anyone wants to tag along… I don’t know if I should tag people and interrupt their morning…
But ten cents says they’re going to say I should have. @Hannah-c @Bluejay @Daeus @Hope @overcomer
Just in case anyone else writes this early. 😉

Oh boy @overcomer, I don’t think I’d enjoy that… 😛 I try not to set word goals for myself over long periods of time, because the moment I feel like I HAVE to do something I stop enjoying it. I’d probably get more written if I pushed myself, but I want to take it slow (relatively 😉 ) and enjoy the process. I want to savor my relationship to my…[Read more]

@bluejay @daeus @kate-flournoy @overcomer I’ve got to leave the house today but I’m going to write while I’m gone. Hoping to get at least 800 either written or edited (both would be awesome.) Either way, I’ll come back later and tell you how I did.
And I can’t tell you how good it is to know that I’m not the only non-morning person. @Kate-flournoy…[Read more]

Well…. not so much planning a novel, but I will be joining you on the 100 for 100 challenge… I’m not exactly sure how long I’m hoping for end word count as I don’t have a full story lined out yet, but once I do, I’ll let you know how long I’m hoping for. I’m bad about agreeing to write something then just winging it… let’s see if…[Read more] -

@overcomer oh, to write a novel in one season! Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s possible for me. 😛 But we’ll see— if I can get the editing of my WIP finished before summer (chancy at best) I could be starting a novella… so we’ll see. 🙂

@overcomer Does writing a novella count? I hope to start a new one in a few weeks. A club could be fun. 😉

I guess a lot of people have been busy lately -including me. Wow, so many good points have been made here. I like them all. I agree with @overcomer… I like the telling in the book. It really works for this story, and it makes for a relaxing, thought-provoking read. I also like how simple (and bold, as you said @Daeus) the characters are.

@dbhgpdreigns Exactly. I was thinking it sounded like the Hitler Youth, too, but pretty much every totalitarian society begins by brainwashing the kids.
@overcomer I do agree that pigs aren’t the smartest people, but I think Orwell used then as a metaphor; dictators=pigs. I do think that there is a lack of intelligent…[Read more]

@overcomer — Thank you so much for linking that PDF! I haven’t been able to find a copy. Hopefully I will get caught up by tomorrow.
@Daeus — Thanks for the reminder!

@overcomer I love what you wrote! I want more of that story. Like now! Also, thanks for the prompt!
I was so mad at him, waving his hands around like that, pretending like he loved me, and then BAM betrayal–short and swift. Straight into the lake. May as well have been shouting “Go jump in a lake!” Because that’s certainly what I did.

Hmm, it looks like maybe a few people got busy this week and forgot. Busyness is all cool, but if it’s just plain old forgetting, I’m on a mission to remind. Here goes.
