So I’m not the only one who has boxes of books in her room, @hope . (Besides a bookshelf …or two) Good to know. 😉

It’s okay @daeus , 🙂 I’m already shifting gears and getting interested in “Animal Farm.” Idealist communism, huh? I’m intrigued …
The Hobbit is awesome, @bluejay ! It’s one of my top favorites. 😀
You probably don’t have to read it again, @ivy-rose to participate in or follow the discussion if you want to. Would that be alright, @daeus ?

Thanks, @kate-flournoy 🙂 It sounds a little like “Whittington.” I’ll probably like it then. *puts on game face* In the words of Linguini, “Let’s do this thing!”
Thank you too, @adry_grace 🙂 Political history sounds great, although I think the chances of getting caught up in off-branching discussions on this book may be nearly as great as…[Read more]

Well, @daeus , personally I’m rather disappointed because I expected that we would be reading “The Witch of Blackbird Pond,” and had already set my heart on it. I find myself that discussions on any aspect of a book are instructive in the art of writing, but since you acted in the interest of time, I can hardly blame you.
I also wasn’t too keen…[Read more]

Audio books are fine with me.
Grr, this is hard!
1. A Tale of Two Cities (because it has one of my single most favorite characters in it of all time, and an awesome character arc, and history, and I think every writer should read it!)
2. The Hobbit
3. The Story GirlYou could add War Horse later on. It’s a good one.

I like the Story Girl, by L. M. Montgomery, The Choosing by Rachelle Dekker, Cloak of the Light by Chuck Black, A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens, The Robot Wars (They’re kinda young, but a cool and fun to read Christian sci fi series) I could go on … and on … and think of more books … (An Old Fashioned Girl is good:)
Oh, and Ivanhoe is a…[Read more]

What sort of age range are we thinking, @daeus ? Because I can think of lots of very different books. It might help to narrow them down a bit.
