@ellette-giselle oh no I never said I liked what was in there. I just mean that like if it had been an ordinary horror or fantasy story, not a romance, it probably still wouldn’t have been good for Christians to read (cause of all the paranormal creatures and stuff, blah), but at least it wouldn’t be smut and probably wouldn’t have driven half a…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle you’re welcome! I’m liking the Marvel drawings. The others are great too, but y’know, I’m not as familiar with them cause they’re your original characters.

@ellette-giselle lolll the green ember one!!
oh and yes….I think “oh, there certainly aren’t THAT kind of people in the world” and then I take one look at the internet and am like “yep, there are, and they’re worse than I imagined”
I’m glad there are nice sites like here.

@ellette-giselle ooof
worse than Twilight????
Somehow I thought that was nearly impossible to do without sacrificing all that makes a story. I mean like twilight has all that stuff, but a few of the story concepts are almost salvageable if they were in a completely different, better written story.

Opossums, as part of creation, have my respect. But no more. They’re not really higher than mosquitoes in my opinion.
We’ve had them try to kill our cats, our dog, and generally terrorize our lives.

Ah yes. The Fowlers. A. D. Smith could write a whole joke book for them.

@the_lost-journal I heard that word and could only think of a quote from a character I used for a fanfic. This is him introducing himself in his canon work:
Hey look, buddy, I’m an Engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like “What is beauty?”, because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve…

@ellette-giselle @linus-smallprint
(if you were reading something like Fifty Shades of Grey or Twilight we would be having a totally different conversation)
OOOF NOOOOO NOT TWILIGHT
There was one good thing about it, and that was the fact that even my trashiest works look like masterpieces next to it. And they’re at least pretty much…[Read more]

“Catching bullets, apparently.”
This is why Jayson is so awesome. (Did you just shoot my boy?)

“Filthy German!”
My character Dr. Humboldt would take offense to that. If he were here, of course, which he’s not because I don’t let him anywhere near the computer.
lol but if anyone can be described as “filthy German” it’s him. He’s nice enough sometimes, but he’s also a mad scientist and has done some nasty things to…[Read more]

The farmer Charles Wherl, before he used magic, is somewhat inspired by Charles Ingles. THey are both fathers who live in a house in the woods with their families, enjoy telling stories to their children, and play some sort of instrument (Though the fact that they are both named Charles is pure coincidence). The reason why I was…

True, true. I think I can claim my paralysis gloves though (although that was inspired by some medical stuff).
(No? But I was cringing inside and wide-eyed)

I stole the idea from my brother, who has also never seen that.
