@ethryndal I know, right? Hugs are so confusing.
@northerner They happened to be doing it this year, and I had decided the week before to just go for it. I’ve missed five years’ worth of opportunities already and I had really wanted to do it. Hugs are a nightmare for me. As a greeting? I would die on the spot! 😛 -

@Northerner I can sing alto as well. I’m definitely not a first soprano–the girls of said section in my choir can hit notes that go through the ceiling…

@Northerner well, not old old. Just not modern anymore. Not sure exactly when it was written but by some standards it’s fairly new I guess. Here’s the link: Was It A Morning Like This?

Hi all! Happy Easter!
He is Risen! And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into…

@northerner Community college has been annoying from time to time, and as a fellow homeschooler, I understand the frustration for sure! But, for me, even when the classes and the education has been disappointing, I have learned so much from working on campus as an English tutor, a Spanish tutor, and an office assistant, and from meeting a person…[Read more]

@northerner Losing work is a horrible feeling! *cries with you* Several years ago, my floppy disk crashed (yeah…I’m *barely* old enough for those…) and I lost every file for the novel I was working on. Fortunately, I had a hard copy–up to a point–but everything I had done that day was gone. On this side of it, I figure that losing files…[Read more]

Oh, no! I completely understand how you feel @Northerner I do stuff like this all the time with school assignments, which, I can promise you, are just as aggravatingly heartbreaking to redo.
I know that the hardest part about redoing assignments can be doing them for the second time, but it sounds like what you were writing is definitely worth…[Read more]

@Northerner *chains the bear up* ‘e won’t get out for some time yet. Now go forth and conquer.
(Btw, @Kate-Flournoy just almost lost that stuff, but we were able to fix it in time. After great stomachache. Otherwise…*coughcough* her computer might have suffered great damage from a certain being.) -

@northerner I am so sorry! *hands you ice cream* Food really does make everything better.
Been there, done that, except it was an application instead of story words. Story words is worse!
May you get lots of inspiration to make up for that! -

@Northerner this almost happened to me several times. Mostly because I type so fast and I accidentally hit ctrl. a (which highlights all) instead of ctrl. s (which saves) and kept going before the command processed and ended up replacing my entire document (800 pages, 500,000 words, and two years’ worth of work) with those few words I’d typed……[Read more]

@northerner I’ve done this too and I feel your pain. *pats you on back* I don’t know if this will work, but in Chrome, you can go to history, and it has all the tabs that you’ve opened for several days. I think you *might* be able to retrieve deleted google docs from there… (Other browsers also has a history thing that might work.) If…[Read more]
