@Dragon-Snapper You should make @Ethryndal herself call you a kid (for perfectly justifiable reasons, obviously) if anyone’s gonna do it.
The LoKD is becoming…a LEGEND. O.o Actually, it’s been one for a while… *rubs hands gleefully* You must have way too much fun with these.
If I’m in there and have a moment, you could have me trying…[Read more]

Brilliant ideas, everyone. 😉
@Winter-rose or his family could be away and coming home on Christmas Day and he decides to decorate the house for them…

Yeah…it’s an interesting dilemma to say the very least. I think, I don’t think, it would ever really be possible, because only God can make real sentience, and humans, no matter how incredibly complex were their discoveries and inventions, could never reproduce what God does. Subcreation; we can ultimately only ever mimic…[Read more]

@Sam-Kowal Cool. I think a lot of people have found us through Brett Harris-related places.

Maybe Brittney invites Sam to go Christmas caroling with them.
If this happens, she should be an amazing singer and him a not so very good one. 😉

There’s also the argument that the human brain is basically an organic computer… What separates animals from insects, and humans from animals? Insects are basically robots. In fact, a creationist (I can’t remember the name) calls insects God’s robots. Animals, especially seen in mammals, have Nephesh Chayyah, or the…[Read more]

The reason I made this up, is because the idea of sentient androids has intrigued and fascinated me ever since… well, basically since Bionicle G1 (2001-2009 set releases) came out. And LEGO Hero Factory added on to that fascination.
Sure, why couldn’t God give a sentient android a human soul? I think an encouragement…[Read more]

I think you hit the nail on the head. I almost feel like crying myself from reading your paragraph. :’)
Yeah… It’s tough. Yes, they’re machines. Yes, they’re manufactured by fallible humans. Yes machines can’t have souls. But… If a robot were to pray, and ask Jesus into his or her heart, would God seriously not answer? Even…[Read more]

Yup. Let’s hope. 😉
Wait, REALLY?! Well…yay! I came across Blender several times in my searches, but I passed it by because (1. As far as I could tell it was only for animation, not videos as well, and (2. It said it had a very steep learning curve, and Douglas (my brother) is incredibly liable to give up on steep learning curves.…[Read more]

@Leumeister Because they, being robots, but built in such a way to act as humans, and almost, in effect, BE humans, will therefore seem like humans. And think like humans, right? And in all other ways, seem human; but, being robots, they wouldn’t actually have souls, would they? Or at least…maybe not. I dunno. And since they would think and see…[Read more]

Yes! That would be awesome.
Maybe he has to get Brittney a present?
He spills his hot chocolate on someone?
He gets visited by an eccentric aunt he hasn’t seen since he was four?

Hi, @marliscarb. Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!
I’m a Y-dubber too, though I don’t really appear on the community ever.
What’s your dream as a writer? What types of books do you want to write and how do you want to affect people? Are you looking to write as a career?
I’m just in a serious mood at the moment. 😉
Oh, and do…[Read more]

Here are some random ideas. The could work together or you could choose some and reject others. (or reject them all. Duh)
- A bunch of KeePers go missing and the other KeePers have to go find and rescue them.
- To all appearances, I turn into a villain, but of course I’m not. It’s all intentional for some brilliant reason people…

Hi @jenwriter17 Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!
Ranks are determined by how many posts you make. I don’t know exactly how many you need for each rank, but it doesn’t take too long for your rank to go up if you stay active.

@anne-of-lothlorien For some reason, I couldn’t stop laughing when I read “a crowd of writers thronged my porch”. It seemed like there should be fairies on the porch or something, but instead they were writers and it was the most ludicrous thing ever.

@anne-of-lothlorien goldfish and seeds of the starberry. They grow on the remote ice-planet of Cryzoian and must be picked with silver tweezers.
