@emma-flournoy I just read your analysis on my brother’s MB-type XD I find it hilarious how you said he’s not very blunt, because, in a way, it’s sooooo true. He beats around the bush so badly, we’re like “Spit it out!” But also sometimes he’s too blunt XD

@leumeister But proximity doesn’t determine who you choose as an accountability partner 😛 Mine is half-way around the world.
I saw someone on Y-Dubs ask for one like asking for a room mate 😀 They requested a certain age (which I think is fair enough) that they like the same genre, which makes sense, and stuff like that.

Leumeister replied to the topic Aquila in the forum Sci-Fi 8 years, 10 months ago
Well, I figured since we’re usually in the same room together…. 😛

Louise Fowler replied to the topic Aquila in the forum Sci-Fi 8 years, 10 months ago
@leumeister Why me specifically?
-
Leumeister replied to the topic Aquila in the forum Sci-Fi 8 years, 10 months ago
Oh, Okay… :/ Fair enough.
That’s a good idea about an accountability partner. Should I do it with @perfectfifths, someone else, or with a bunch of people? I’m on the Young Writer’s Workshop Facebook Group, should we all keep each other accountable?

Is anyone else interested in Alpha- and Beta-reading my stories? I’m really needing some feedback, critiques, and encouragement. I’m only really writing on weekdays during the school weeks, rarely writing during weekends and school holidays. I’m not sure I’m motivated. :/
I’ll tag those who’ve already replied to this topic, not counting those who…[Read more]

@countryjournalist2002, See what I mean? Weirdos…through and through. But lovely weirdos, ’cause, they provide ice-cream.
Don’t worry, you’ll catch on. Ice-cream, raspberries, chocolate and glitter are a bit of a thing… 🙂

@dragon-snapper Hey there!
I haven’t been around for a while, but I was just reading ‘The Legends of King Daeus’
and it’s sequel for the I-don’t-know-how-many-th time! I hope there’s a third part coming. Feel free to ask for inside Aussie jokes if you need them. 🙂 I know @perfectfifths, @anna-brie, @jane-maree, @bluejay (if she’s around) would…[Read more]-
I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed it! I was actually really worried about the second one, but it seems to have worked out. 😀
I’m taking a little break before starting up on the third one, mainly because I have so many other projects I’m working on.
However, for all you Aussies, feel free to post your suggestions and maybe dialect here. I’ll be honest…[Read more]-
@dragon-snapper It shouldn’t be ‘saussies’ it should be ‘snags’ if you really want to use slang. 😛 And Kookaburra…well, it’s not exactly slang, it’s just the name of a bird.

I have one of my own to add… I don’t make these often because time, 😛 but at the end of every project I reward myself by doing collages. *nods* And since I finished the second draft of one project recently… collages. *nods*

@Daeus this one is for Lindel, in case you wanted to see it… 😉

@CountryJournalist2002 welcome to the Kingdom! You are now officially a KeePer. 😀 Ooh, historical fiction. Brave. 😛 I started with historical fiction, but quite honestly found the loads of research involved depressingly heavy. You have my utmost respect.

@Mark-Kamibaya what you said about Introversion vs Extroversion is quite true— but I tend to believe that the need for alone-time is because of the fact that an Introvert’s world is in their head. That’s where they feel most comfortable; just with themselves. While they can enjoy the society of their friends, it will never be as natural or…[Read more]

True, I haven’t even seen a koala in the wild. I’ve bumped into a kangaroo though and narrowly avoided them with the car.
Another myth that they may or may not have heard is that our internet runs on gum trees. That’s why it’s so slow.
I’ve never seen a koala in the wild either, @anna-brie.
I don’t think my internet is all that bad. I’m fairly happy with it. Even Steam games, which are fairly big, being a few gigabytes big each, download fairly quickly. 😛
I’ve seen kangaroos in people’s yards if they live in the country.
We have kangaroos in our yard. And our internet isn’t all that bad. It’s not brilliant, but pretty good. It used to be bad, but we changed provider.
I just noticed that you forgot to tag @gideon-sowdon
I see kangaroos on a daily basis. ALSO YAS KOALAS. I’ve seen them reasonably frequently too.
MY INTERNET TOTALLY RUNS ON GUM TREES. XD XD I’ve never actually heard that one before?? But it’s great. I should start mentioning that to American friends… XP
@jane-maree I got that from this blog post. http://paperfury.com/10-things-didnt-know-about-australian-bookbloggers/
@anna-brie oh woww. XD That’s hilarious.
@anna-brie, this is one the best things I’ve ever read. She’s a great writer! ;P I was literally in stitches
Here’s a question. Do you guys have deer? If not, I’m thinking that the American equivalent of kangaroos is deer.
@clairec
@jane-maree
@anna-brie
@leumeister
@dragon-snapper We have deer, but they’re not native, and I’ve never seen them. Unlike foxes. They’re also not native.
@dragon-snapper what Anna said. And the lengthy conversations on deer and kangaroos that I’ve had with Americans I can confirm that they are comparable-ish equivalents. 😛
*ahem*
