@winter-rose WOW! Great Job! I wanted to finish my own today, but seeing how I have at least another 15,000 words until I’m satisfied, I don’t think that’ll be possible. So kudos to you for actually finishing so soon after NaNoWriMo!!! 🙂

@Daeus, pretty good.
I wrote 1,400 words, so I’m really pleased. I’m going to continue for at least another hour. @aella, @winter-rose -

@Ethryndal, I didn’t see this until now, but I’ll definitely pray.
Quick Update: My dad’s appointment was rescheduled to today, and they found out that his retina was detaching. 🙁 He’s is going to have surgery today (it lasts about 4ish hours). Praise God that this happened before January first, as insurance should cover the costs! He…[Read more]

I like it. 🙂 The sentence:
Setting out to find new strength, he plummets into tangled plots, tragedies, and the deep puzzle of his destiny put in question by a cryptic vision.
It seems a little wordy still, but otherwise I like it. I agree with dragon snapper that you do tend to use “his” a lot, but it didn’t bother me.

Jess replied to the topic Illustrations and Personal Opinions Regarding Them in the forum Art 7 years, 11 months ago
@I-J-Anderson, I don’t go crazy if there are illustrations in a book, but I would rather have a book with no illustrations. Illustrations can be good, but I as the reader would rather fill in the blanks on what the characters look like myself. Also, like Emma Flournoy said, if the book is well written there won’t be clunky descriptions. 😉 It’s…[Read more]

His retina was not detaching 😀 , and it doesn’t look to serious, but he’ll be back for pictures next week. Thank you all for praying!

Well, here I am again… My dad has always had eye problems, and he’s seeing a black spot that comes and goes. The last time he saw something like this, his retina was starting to detach. He has to go to the ER today for them to check it out. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but who knows.
I’ll tag some people, @clairec, @spradlin, @kate-flourn…[Read more] -

I like it. One thing, in here, “Discovering a historic treasure, Mathew returns…” I’m not quite sure what discovering a historic treasure has to do with Matthew returning to wreak vengeance and take on the character of Edwin. Otherwise, it attracts me and I would probably want to read it if I saw this in a book store.

@Daeus, sorry I didn’t get around to the first version, but the second one is better. 😉
Setting out to find new strength, he plummets into struggles for survival, desperate plots, uncertainties, and the vague shadow surrounding his destiny from a dying mentor’s vision.
I agree with Kate, the “into struggles” part is a bit weird. Otherwise, I l…[Read more]

@Anne-of-lothlorien,
I like it. I would change the first sentence, but I like the rest of the paragraph. Ideas… erm…
I’ve always fancied being able to enter a character’s world, but that was kind of done in Storybound. I like the idea of characters coming into our world, since that isn’t done very often. Or, we’re the ones in stories, and…[Read more] - Load More
