@ellette-giselle BIRTHING LOTTERY?!!
That alone just—just—…….oh my gosh I hope the US never, ever, ever gets to that point, because HECK NAW IF THAT HAPPENS I AM REGISTERING MYSELF AS DEAD THIRTY YEARS AGO AND MOVING UNDERGROUND.
I’m sorry, evil government, but no one, NO ONE, is EVER allowed to treat me like that, and if I could I w…[Read more]

We’ll see.
That’s the fun of not knowing how your own story will turn out in the end, I suppose. You can’t plan everything. (One side of me wishes it were possible, though.)

Without a family to fight and provide for, men loose their purpose. (It was actually a strategy developed by communist Russia though it was never fully established)
That’s really interesting. I’ll have to look into it. Sometimes I hear about a government control strategy I didn’t know about previously and sometimes it’s like “o…[Read more]

Delightfully whimsical-sounding! I shall look at what you sent me. It’s been a log time since I read the perspective of an unrelatable narrator.
What kind of prophecy is it?
Actually I should just start reading instead of asking you. But you can answer if the answer isn’t a big spoiler and doesn’t show up in what you sent me.

In a country where true family is forbidden and marriage is a crime
Not to entirely derail the KP title drama, but I was just thinking about your blurb. I may have asked this question when you first talked about this but I don’t remember 😅 How does this work? Why is marriage a crime?
I feel like this would be an interesting…[Read more]

As far as titles go, I always thought of you as kp’s local cryptid because of your elusive and random nature lol

Loopy replied to the topic The Chat Chat in the forum General Writing Discussions 2 months, 4 weeks ago
but have you all actually been trained to fight with them? 😂
Depends on exactly what you mean by training, but how is this at all writing/ kp related?

I just don’t like how they’re treated as more important/impactful than other stories.

I’m honestly a bit tired of dark stuff and stories that “deal with hard themes”.
I’m always a little annoyed when people say we need more writers dealing with darkness in their stories. Literally 90% of the WIPs I’ve heard about have dark themes like PTSD and abuse, and a lot of published books are the same.
I write dark themes so I don…[Read more]

It does feel kinda like it at times…I’m actually working this whimsy story of fairies, libraries, and evil people eating woods right now that I haven’t introduced here because…*shrugs*
Ma’am. Please introduce your story in more detail. I am currently working on a whimsy story of fairies, cozy homes, and evil people-eating rabbits. We have…[Read more]

I’m honestly a bit tired of dark stuff and stories that “deal with hard themes”. We need more silliness and whimsy. The real world is full of it. Maybe we should reflect it more in our writing.

That sounds absolutely wonderful. I love whimsy. And fairies. Loving fairies was like my whole personality the first two thirds of my life. Please do share if you feel up to it.

I feel like “Rhymer” sounds like someone who does a lot of poetry?
Also I have no idea what age group my stories are for when I’m writing them, but I definitely have a few that feel like children’s books.

Yeah the plot was very lacking. It would be cool to see the characters developed more.

Yeah! I remember watching it when I was younger and being creeped out. It’s such a fun film. I kind of wish it got a show instead of a movie because it felt like it didn’t cover all the plot it wanted to.

@whalekeeper Oh I love that it’s perfect 🤍 I have 9 on dvd. I love the animation and general vibes.

Ooo, those are a lot of nice synonyms
Okay thanks :] Have you ever watched 9? It’s an animated movie with puppet dolls living on post-apocalyptic Earth. A couple of them are twins and they’re basically archivists. That’s what I’m suddenly picturing.
