With her nose in a book, Faith casually steps off the train and glances up at the sight before her. Wow. It’s big. Really big. So big and majestic looking that she’s actually compelled to lower her book for a few seconds and have a look around.
A large, pointing sign immediately catches her gaze, and her eyes widen in sheer delight.

@Aysia-serene thank you. 😀
@GracieGirl well I haven’t written it yet— it’s still in my head, but basically what Steampunk is, is doing cool impossible sciencey things with steam engines instead of computers.
I’m cheating a little, because the space station my story takes place in is steam on the outside, and the further in you go the more…[Read more] -

@GracieGirl oh good. 😀 Thank you. She was fun. The scanner actually washed out a lot of the color, but the basics are still there. 😉 Doing her blouse was fun too, because I have a Steampunk story in the making and working with the costumes has been a blast. *grins*

@graciegirl Glad I could help. Villains can be so much fun, once they fall in place.

@graciegirl One thing to remember is that characters (and people) aren’t always logical. From an outside perspective, one can stand back and shake their head at a character and wonder what they are thinking and why they don’t just get it. But inside the character’s head is another matter. Emotions and beliefs twist together and they will sometimes…[Read more]

@corissa-maiden-of-praise, unfortunately, I will not be going. 🙁 I would’ve loved to though! I don’t live too far away from there, and it would be awesome to meet you guys! I’m going to be super busy next week though… I hope you all have a great time! 🙂

@GracieGirl dah! I missed this and now everyone’s said everything! *heartbroken sobbing*
Well… a few villains to add to the list… (Besides Kylo Ren. Don’t start me. Really).
Chauvelin, from The Scarlet Pimpernel. Totally evil, but somehow very human, and you gotta admire his dedication even if you hate his cause. He keeps trying even though…[Read more] -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 ehhhh… there is no hard and fast rule. The nearest thing I can give you to a rule is this tip: don’t repeat impressions you’ve already made. (Something else I had to learn the hard way. ;P)
For example, don’t mention in one place that someone is confused, then mention it again later. Writing is all about change. If it hasn’t…[Read more] -

@graciegirl Some of the most interesting villains (and the most dangerous) are the ones who honestly believe what they are doing is right and they are willing to sacrifice for their convictions. A villain who is off for revenge is all very well. A villain who is fighting for something he loves will be even more dedicated. Plus it is heartbreaking…[Read more]
