Oh, and @PerfectFifths don’t worry too much about chapter length, ’cause I prefer reading shorter chapters a lot of the time. 😀

@GracieGirl dah! I missed this and now everyone’s said everything! *heartbroken sobbing*
Well… a few villains to add to the list… (Besides Kylo Ren. Don’t start me. Really).
Chauvelin, from The Scarlet Pimpernel. Totally evil, but somehow very human, and you gotta admire his dedication even if you hate his cause. He keeps trying even though…[Read more] -

The flying ball suddenly pops midair, letting loose an explosion of glitter. It falls to the ground, a silver arrow stuck in it’s limp folds of leather. Ethryndal steps out of the shadows, looking down her long elven nose. “Silly mortals,” she sniffs. “They run around like headless chickens and throw balls and tea at each other.” Glancing…[Read more]

@That_Writer_Girl_99 ehhhh… there is no hard and fast rule. The nearest thing I can give you to a rule is this tip: don’t repeat impressions you’ve already made. (Something else I had to learn the hard way. ;P)
For example, don’t mention in one place that someone is confused, then mention it again later. Writing is all about change. If it hasn’t…[Read more] -

@Jenali Yeah, it’s actually been a while since I’ve seen them too, (Vid-Angel, where have you gone?) but that was the one thing that always stood out to me. And YES to the Dark World. When he and Thor where on that ship thingy, and he kept making cracks… “Good job, Thor, you just decapitated your great-grandfather…” My mother and I quote that…[Read more]

@Jenali Fangirl flailing NOT over. *flails* Yes, the SARCASM! And he’s so charmingly…evil. It’s weird. And funny, because he, the villain, was pretty much the ONLY well developed character in the first Thor. 😀

@Jenali YES! Someone who shares my Loki appreciation! @Graciegirl Loki is definitely my favorite villain. I like villains who are kind of relatable, not just world power hungry freaks. The thing about Loki that is so intriguing is that in many ways, he’s more rootworthy than Thor. I wanted Loki to succeed more than Thor because of the ways he’d…[Read more]

@graciegirl I have read the other books, but the first one definitely has the best story line. However, I think my favorite is the second one, just because of the pirates. 😛 And I didn’t like the third as much…the ending, *sighs* I liked Mott; besides Sage, he was my favorite character.
Oh yes. Never met anyone quite as snarky as him. 😛 -

@julia-r No worries there, I found it helpful too (and have now stuck it in my sticky notes for future reference 😉 )
Wow, 65 pages and only 4 chapters?? That’s amazing! How many pages do you make your chapters? Mine are generally between 5-7, but I’m noticing that most books are probably a big longer
