I wrote a novella in two months because it was sort of a back-burner thing. It was thirteen chapters and around 24,000 words. My advice is if don’t treat it like it’s not a novel. Don’t say, ‘Oh, I don’t have to write as much today as I would if I were doing a novel, cause it’s shorter’. Just write with all you’ve got, and maybe you can do it in a…[Read more]

Okay, can someone put the picture they drew of Daeus’s Teedletidum’s actually on here, cause I can’t follow the link and I’m dying to see them.
Here, see if anyone wants to draw this person…
He’s an older teen, about eighteen or nineteen. His hair is longer, but not like shoulder length long or anything, just shaggy and long. Like Hiccup. And…[Read more]

@dragons-snapper It depends on what route you take. You can order a bulk amount of books, and you’ll be able to earn a high profit selling those, but you have to know you can sell that many hundred or thousand, or you’ll have lost money.
The other route is print on demand. Companies like CreateSpace will print a copy of your book whenever someone…[Read more]

@daeus What are the risks of publishing paperbacks and how does that work?

*bows sweepingly, (losing my plumed hat) and offers you ice cream, picks up my hat, and eats some cake in one fluid motion*I’m currently 10,000 words into a novel I started on Wednesday, and I am longing for the day I will be “done”

@winter-rose Glad you figured it out. Btw, the checkbox at the end of a thread is to subscribe to all comments made on a post, not just ones you are tagged in. If you’ve been checking those boxes, you may be getting a llloooottt of emails. If you want, you can unsubsribe to those, but I believe you have to do it for each individual thread.
