@catwing *gasps and recoils. gold coins fly everywhere* You haven’t seen the Emperor’s New Groove?
If you have a chance to watch that movie, do so. It’s awesome. -

@salome01wg Well…if being a writer and not really liking reading at times is a sickness, then yes. But otherwise no. I’m as healthy as any other dragon. 😛

@daughteroftheking Well, that’s weird, but it’s also cool.
Could you write a scene from these killer plants’ POV?
Could some small animal be left in a room of plants and then when we come back to the room the animal is dead with signs of violence?
Could you describe a setting from the omniscient POV where there are these killer plants around and…[Read more] -

@joy I like it. Actually, to some degree that happened. Not white servitude, but the south felt mistreated after the war and there was a good deal of unrest during reconstruction. It could be good stuff to get ideas for your novel from.
Anyway, I would totally be for keeping this story in the real world. However, since you don’t want history…[Read more]

@Joy oooh… what I like about that is it has a ton of thematic potential. I’m not quite sure about the revisionism, from a historical standpoint, and if it was me I would probably create a fantasy or scifi world and then do the story with obvious parallels to the Civil War, but there are a lot of writers that can pull off things I’d be scared to…[Read more]

Probably people getting stabbed where there is no visible weapon. A cleared around the invisible soldier. People could hear the invisible guy.

Imagine if all the dark tales of your childhood were real. And what if the reality of your childhood was a lie?
In a world of sudden fate, an aggrieved young man finds himself the only survivor of a bloody dragon raid. Tracing the disaster back to an ancient menace, he journeys to a shadowy land to avenge the heinous deaths of his beloved people.…[Read more] -

In a battle, how would you reveal someone who can turn invisible at will? Has to be something that not everyone can do.

@salome01w4g Books? Books. Books!
Books…
Um…
The Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson is a good one.
Any and all of the Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan (unless, of course, you’ve already read those)
Um…
*shrugs*
I don’t really know…I’m not a good person to ask for books, because I, well, this is going to sound crazy because I’m a…[Read more] -
