@dragon-snapper I really don’t have much to say. Everybody is right on with their idea of what makes a hook good. I like to start my books with either dialogue or an action. I’m sorry, but I thought it was a little cliched. It does seem a bit overdone, but the other room idea is pretty good. Or you could run with the transportation idea, but have it only go to a certain room in multiple other worlds. What’s in the room? That’s the question, isn’t it?

@daeus Wow! I don’t know if you’re over thinking this or if I’m underthinking it (probably the latter). Either way I respect whatever choice you make. And I’ll be sure to pray for you. As for Bible translations, I think the best is the ESV (and their study Bible is boss!), but I love reading different translations and comparing them.
