Introducing, the queen of retellings…@seekjustice!!! 😛 I’m sure she’ll have lots of ideas for you 😉
As for me, I can’t say I’ve read a lot of fairytales, so I don’t think I have any suggestions for your retelling. I’ll let you know if I do though! 😀

So, this is a problem I’ve been dealing with off and on for the past several years. Basically, I’m looking in the mirror and feeling disappointed. As some of you may know, I have curly hair. I’ve grown to love it, but there are days when I just don’t know what to do with it. It knots, it frizzes, it doesn’t lay right and it’s so hard to care for.…[Read more]

@rochellaine I see. Something that always seems to get me motivated is to listen to songs that remind me of my WIP or make
anothera collage, or maybe even take my laptop to a cafe or park to write in a different environment. -

@rochellaine Yeah, distractions are definitely hard to deal with. It doesn’t make it any better that all my writing is done on my laptop. *glares at Pinterest and Youtube* *as I’m listening to music on Youtube* 😛 I know I could try handwriting, but that’s way too slow for me. and with all my other hobbies that use my hands a lot, adding…[Read more]

@rochellaine yeah I’m definitely the opposite. 😉 but I have to get it done before July 20th, so having a deadline is kinda giving me the push i need. 🙂
how is your western going?

@daughteroftheking good idea about the antagonist; i can tend to not put enough work in the antagonist.
She has one best friend (Christy), but since she’s major-super introverted, she doesn’t really have any more. I was thinking of making her bestie the villain, but then it seemed kinda obvious.
I think at first she will hate having the powers,…[Read more]

@rochellaine Yes, poor Zac….was trying not to cry while I’m at my aunt’s house 😉
Editing’s going okay. This is how I’m feeling though:

the book looks so much worse when I go back to edit 🙁

@rochellaine cool ideas! 😀
yes, I agree. God created us all equal and skin color doesn’t make anyone better or worse than someone else. I like your description suggestions. It’s the ‘charcoal skin’ part that people are super sensitive about I think. Skin descriptions that might be just fine people would think offensive. I’m not saying ‘charcoal…[Read more]

@rochellaine Just saw your comment ‘tell Zac I will marry him’! haha, seriously though, I feel the same. 😛
Just reached the end of everything. Man, that book was emotionally draining… but so. good.
