@Winter-Rose I’m kinda busy and I didn’t bother to read the previous comments so hopefully I’m not repeating them too much. XD But I’ve found breaks incredibly helpful. You finish a novel. You set it aside. You either take a break from writing, or work on something new that you’re inspired about (whichever you prefer). This helps avoid total…[Read more]

Ah! Where to begin? If you can find the Divine Comedy by Dante Alghieri (it’s normally split into its separate books: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso), get it. As an allegorical poetic epic, it’s not necessarily the most relevant to novels, but it’s my favorite work of literature ever and has some masterful themes in it.
