@Shannon That sounds cool…I don’t think we have a mac though. Oh well.
Hey, nice. Hope it works out. 😀 -

@Emily Well that’s great. About the mandolin. 😀 Good teachers are the best thing. I’m mostly self-taught with violin, so I don’t really have experience with teachers. (Except Mom, who taught me piano. She was great. 😀 ) But good teaching is the best.
And I’d imagine fiddling is fun! I like British/Irish/European style fiddling best. -

@Shannon Oh I knew I wasn’t the only one (haven’t I seen the blogs), but it’s still nice to find them among people you know/semi-know. 😉
I love it. 😀 I only wish I could fiddle as well. Do you play something? -
Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Do You Want to be Part of my Project? in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 3 months ago
@Emily NICE. I looooooooove cello; my mom wants to play that someday. And mandolin shouldn’t be too hard to learn as the notation/stringing is the same as violin.

That conference talk was great.
I can’t really think of anything more specific than what everyone else said. The biggest thing I think would be the ‘feeling important’ thing; feeling like you’re not just a slot to fill but that the author really cares. And they remember you and things about you. All that awesome connection…[Read more]

@Northerner Exactly, I know. 😛
Cool @Emily! We have quite a few violinists on here. Yep, I play piano too. You?
@Mariposa I can understand better about watermelon and coconut. I like them (and love coconut), but I can see how someone wouldn’t. Hardly so with mint. 😉
Whoo-hoo! *high-five* Yep, me too. I have a couple allies, but I’m for most…[Read more]

@Daeus YES DO. XD Nadine is honestly just the bestest. *nods*

@Daeus I think that your original comment about Nadine is a very very good example. Your readers are a huge impact on whether your book is successful (obviously) so you need to treat them as real people and be their best friend.
Nadine is honestly such an amazing above-and-beyond-er. She asks her street team/ninja’s birthdays when they join so she…[Read more] -

@Mariposa How could you hate mint. D: BUT if finding toothpaste is that much of a problem, just use baking soda. *nodnod* That’s what we use part of the time; baking soda with peppermint oil mixed in, but you could skip the oil. That would taste real good. *grimace*
Also, Thesaurus dinosaurs are a very good kind too.@Northerner Hey, my eyes are…[Read more]

@Majerot Hey yourself. You’ve been properly welcomed but welcome again just the same. 😀
I love music too, and am a violin and piano player. What kind do you like to play? -

@Joy Yup. 🙂
I can imagine that last one would be slightly freaky…maybe it’s just a tele-marketer though. XD
Good luck with the driving, too. I’m learning to drive as well. -

@Hope Of those I like the first best. I think any version does sound sort of over-dramatic/slightly cheesy, since you asked. *brutally honest grimace* But of those three choices I think the first is best.

@Shannon Ack. When I was little in TX and we were fixing to go somewhere one day, I was wearing sandals and stepped right in a fire ant hill. OWWWWWW. My feet didn’t return to their normal color for awhile. Red welts all over. I don’t like fire ants.
Hopefully the effects for y’all were somewhat neutralized in all that water… 😛 -

@Majerot I am shamed. I have missed your appearance. Please accept my deepest apologies for being late. *bows*
Welcome anyways. *throws confetti* I hope you enjoy it here. 😀 I’m one of the Aussies that hang out here, and also the Pizza Ninja. *passes you a plate of motivational pizza* -

@Shannon I’ve never heard of an Aussie being sensitive about criminal ancestry. I’m inordinately proud of it to the extent that it makes no sense. XD
