Jenna Terese started the topic Cliches of Dystopian Novels in the forum Sci-Fi 7 years, 4 months ago
Hi, all! I know I kinda recently created a new topic asking y’all the cliches of sci-fi, but this topic is a little different. I’m thinking of writing a dystopian novel. I know this genre can be pretty heavy on the cliches, so my questions is ‘what are the cliches of this genre?’
I know the whole oppressive government thing is kinda cliche, and I…[Read more]

@livgiordano That would be cool! 😀 At this point, though, the closest date we are thinking of coming back is in 1.5 years, so it’ll be a long wait 😐

@livgiordano Yes, that helps! Thanks 🙂
@dragon-snapper Yeah, finding a name is so time-consuming for me. Ugh. And my story is actually realistic fiction, so the details I’m mentioned are basically describing the setting and the actions of characters. Thanks, though!
@daeus Thanks! *face-palms* I have actually given that “write your story, don’t…[Read more]

@livgiordano, My sister’s on Revive, and she really wants to know what Ydub is. I’m on the YWW facebook group, and I really want to know too! Is is another name for YWW? If so, where did it come from???

Aahh! That does sound disappointing. I like Almanzo well enough, but not to replace the Ingalls. :'(
No, we’re not to Nellie’s marriage yet, but I’m pretty sure it’s in this season (which you probably know, which is probably why you asked. ;P). I can certainly imagine it would be funny.
A NEW FAMILY moves into the Ingalls’ house?!…[Read more]

@waterlily Showing them in a “murkier” way might definitely help! I didn’t even think about changing the feel of it by taking advantage of the visual medium I’ll be using.
@livgiordano I think it is a good idea to have them shorter.. It would feel more natural 🙂 Love to hear your opinions on it from someone who enjoys it. Also glad that most…[Read more] -

@livgiordano It’s pretty rough atm, but the general idea ive stuck with is a boy named Arlo want’s to become an astronaut. Instead, he is submerged into an underwater world/city. And in order to save himself, and even those around him, he has to face the conflict tying him and the antagonist together
