Hi, @lightningmouse! I’m glad you’re back! I’m always glad when a long-gone Kapeefer finds his/her way back here 😀 Sounds interesting! So does Rafe want to start a revolution against the government? Is he a part of the government? I think I would read it 🙂
Yep, he does and he is! His cousin (who is older than him by some years) accidentally helped him realize the corruption when he arrested Rafe’s parents for treason (or similar; still working that out) when Rafe was young. Rafe has a position in the government because of his relations, but is actually just doing what he’s told by them as a cover.

Well, if you wanted to have one, you could get the free version XD and there’s a web version so that you wouldn’t have to download the program, but a written list is definitely helpful. I was planning on making a Youtube playlist as well to make it easier but I haven’t gotten around to it yet 😛
As I develop characters I like to add songs and pieces of music that remind me of them and their arcs to playlists on my Spotify. Occasionally I’ll make a list for a scene or a whole story, but I like to have a whole story complete and in front of me before I dive into a playlist for it.
ALSO, if anybody here has a Spotify account, I made a bunch of lists from that old 101 Best Songs for Writing freebie that was hanging around here awhile back. Here’s the link to the account they’re on. They should be at the bottom of the Public Playlists list. 😀

Well, I don’t really know about many contests myself that you could enter (though I heard of an annual short story writing contest awhile ago I forgot most of the stuff about it. I’ll get back to you when I find it 🙂 ), but I’d advise looking in official places for them (college websites, Writer’s Digest magazine ( http://www.writersdigest.com/writers-digest-competitions ), or links from very obviously reputable sites like them. I also think Go Teen Writers ( http://goteenwriters.blogspot.com/ ) hosts an occaisional writing contest from time to time.

Oh, yes, why I write. 🙂 Let’s see.
I write because I’ve always loved stories. Books, movies, and TV shows, and the plots and characters and worlds and <3
I write because I have something to say about/and or want to learn something more about something
Because I can teach about God and glorify Him through it.
And finally, because I want a certain story but can’t find anything like it for the life of me. 😛 For example: “I want a superhero story that takes place in the future in our solar system where all the planets have been settled with cyberpunk technology. Wait, there isn’t anything like that yet? Well now… ” 😉Did one of you mention Redwall?? I love Redwall! can I just say that your art is awesome and I would love to hear more about this fan-fic.
