Back again, yes. Asking for help….hesitantly I have come. But really, I never can decide whether I want to write from third person or first, so I need some dares in first person and others in third person to see if that’ll help…[Read more] -

@daeus Nice count! I copied down 4 pages worth of transitional phrases (because I really should use more of those) and logged all my characters.
@winter-rose @ethryndal @r-j-Anderson @northerner @graciegirl @Audrey-caylin @overcomer @jess @aella I’m still going. -

BTW, welcome to the forum! -

@R-J-Wordsmith Oh, my goodness, I love it! Brava! This is villainy done right. And the title is hilarious.
I can’t think of any critique. 😀
A villain I can whole-heartedly root for, finally. Great work! -
Gracie replied to the topic Rogue One in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
@Ethryndal Zikers! Those drawings on your blog are amazing, Sarah!!! That Galadriel one…wowzers. I love it how only her eyes are colored! And the Rogue one is great too!
I just have to chip in on this bc Rogue One is my favorite movie of all time. It was beautiful! They all died and it was perfect. Aaannnddd,…[Read more]

@aratrea Er…It’s an ice-cream giving frog. Not so bad, right? You’re the Wiser (Gandalf like character), Josiah Degrande, and its a long story. 😛
@jane-maree @daeus isn’t really an evil king. He just doesn’t want to see his kingdom destroyed by dragons or by the evil lord and his trolls. -
Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Homework for Video 16: Theme and Minor Characters in the forum Writing Assignments 9 years, 6 months ago
@kate-flournoy I like that development for Eldred not liking hope for that reason. Nice character development there. All those minor characters look good with their Experiments in Living.
Yeah, that’s a pretty insane word count there. =P I have no idea how I’d even begin to write a book that long!

Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Homework for Video 14: Theme & Villain in the forum Writing Assignments 9 years, 6 months ago
@audrey-caylin Nice–that seems like a very effective way to make him the best villain possible for her arc as she struggles to learn forgiveness. I would say he fits the Tempter type the best.

Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Homework for Video 3: Discovering & Deepening Theme in the forum Writing Assignments 9 years, 6 months ago
@overcomer All those theme/focusing question pairs look great! For that last set of focusing questions, they all seem to stem from the common theme of heroship.

@dragon-snapper @daeus @jane-maree How’d I ever get associated with a frog? O.o

Oh yeah, nearly forgot. I wrote 934 words.

@jane-maree @kate-flournoy @daeus Well, I’m done for tonight. I finished the tale, the rough draft, at least. All that’s left is to edit it.
Nobody give @aratrea a frog! 😛 Actually, Daeus, the frog gave you ice cream in the story. -

@kina-lamb Great! Glad your liking that dare. 😀

Snapper replied to the topic Writer's Corner #4 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
@daeus Grumpy in that the world is pitted against you. Josiah Degrande (the Wiser) @aratrea and his pet frog do a good job at annoying you.
@jane-maree Hahahaha! Something like that. 😛 - Load More
