@libby Interesting. I may need to expand my list of titles. XD How do family-related titles work? Are they stand-alone like “Mom” or “Dad”? I’m mostly trying to figure out how best to handle this culture’s words for “grandmother,” since they have one that refers to a literal grandmother (“lonpaia”) and one that refers to more of a village…[Read more]

@r-m-archer It ought to be attached to the surname. @libby knows a lot more about Japanese culture than I do, so you can always check with her as well!

Hi! You can call me Abigail and I may be a little late saying ‘welcome!’… but anyway, welcome!
My favorite books are: The Bible, Dark Horse, Narnia and a huge assortment of others. I could go on for a while, but I should get to work on my ‘to read’ list:)

It’s interesting to here a new opinion on Animal Farm. Though I haven’t read it myself, I mostly only hear positive things about it. But yeah, there’re definitely books that I can appreciate for what they are but still not enjoy.
What’s your favorite things about Pride and Prejudice?

I need y’all’s help.
For several months I’ve been designing different art pieces for a Redbubble shop I have. I’m trying to raise money for my family’s adoption from Colombia, South America. Unfortunately (though also, fortunately because a lot of wonderful artists sell their creations on Redbubble. I know @jenwriter17
has a shop with lots of fun…[Read more] -

@libby Hi! Welcome to our lovely Kingdom! I love playing piano too!
I give information about myself upon receiving specific questions, haha, because my brain is dead most of the time.
So what kind of music do you like to play? Classical or contemporary? And what sort of books do you read?…[Read more]

The Hunger Games Trilogy isn’t like any books I’ve ever read and it definitely stands out from your typical YA fiction. (I’m actually in the middle of reading it again right now) Some of the things I like about it is that the characters are complex, the theme is deep, and the writing style is so easy to read without being overly…[Read more]

The French Revolution and World War One are really interesting periods to read about. As for me, I’m fascinated by Roman Britain, WW1, and the Golden Age of Piracy/Exploration (which reminds me @gracie-j your books sound awesome! My current WIP is based on the lives of William Dampier and Jeanne Baret, have you heard of them?)
And my…[Read more]
