@leumeister I hope you don’t mind me jumping in here, but I’ve always preferred for a few MCs to stay consistent through a series. It takes me a while to warm up to new characters. 🙂

I’m the weird writer who can hardly read one book in a month. (I don’t think I read through any single book last month, not even during Christmas break)

@leumeister Each book having different characters will be much better. Also, I’m just trying to get to the last book in the Ranger’s Apprentice, mainly because I heard that the last one was really good.

@leumeister As a tv series, that’s great. And as books, a lot of people may like that. You’ll probably lose a few fans, but I imagine the ones that stay will be especially enthusiastic, which is always good.

@leumeister Please don’t write eight. I’m trying to work through Flanagan’s 12 books of the Ranger’s Apprentice, and quite frankly, it gets to be torture to read so much for me.

@leumeister I think that’s a good thing. Series are a good thing to write these days.

My one question is how many books there would be. Two or eight? Eight might be a little much. I’ve heard that the ultimate series is a trilogy, cause most people will stay for those three books, but after that the number of committed readers will start to dwindle.

@leumeister Yeah. Though pages should work for that too if you have a mac user who doesn’t have word.

@leumeister Are you hoping to get beta readers? Here’s what I’d recommend. You’ll want to use a word document. The reason is that beta readers can easily leave detailed comments on there. You know how sometimes you write something really long and then you forget to post it? It just happened to me, @leumeister. So I’m gonna make this brief.

Bell Curve: Action starts, rises, culminates, falls, the end. That’s a bell curve. My problem with it is that it implies that the culmination is in the exact middle. That’s wrong.
