Cool! Yeah, that’s pretty much what I meant, just what your plans were, and how you would approach it.

Yeah, if an iterative process like that works for you, then that’s an excellent way of doing it. It would help with refinement, allowing you to perfect the writing, as long as it isn’t too much revision that no progress is made.
If you want to make a strong cast, and your not worried of over attachment, then I would say it works…[Read more]

Yes! You’ve worded it perfectly Whale! It’s definitely not something you can control, I personally find it fruitful to just talk about it, and think openly with others, but my best ideas just kind of come to me randomly.
There’s ideas that could never be on a template, like: What if there was a world where light and dark switched…[Read more]

Same thing for me too! Usually if I’m tagged, it will notify me right away, but otherwise it’s like there’s a HUGE delay of at least a couple days.
This is extra annoying cuz it’s leading me to pick up my phone more to check for things that I wasn’t notified of 😅

This is something I’ve wondered myself for a while. Because any character I develop enough to be interesting, I suddenly want to follow as a lead character. For characters important to a story, I would once again go to the idea of mechanics. I’m not sure if you’ve seen that forum I started (I can link you if you want), but I go into…[Read more]

I’ve been experiencing the same thing the past few weeks. Also for the past few days, the pages have been formatted weird again.

It’s very much related to what you said. There’s some characters that fit the description of characters you’ve mentioned, which isn’t saying much, because a lot would fit, but the particular execution of it is incredible.

Oh, and is this character with a potential redemption arch a dragon, or a human with the dragons or a human doing their own thing?

Evander
He opened one eye. He hadn’t slept for five minutes.
I’m… I’m burning up…
He stood up and shook the sand off his large body.
I’ll go lay in the shade, and continue resting…
The island’s unfamiliar sounds startled him as he made his way towards the shade. He looked around to make sure he was safe.
When he was comfortab…[Read more]

Fair enough. I agree that people should be more aware of the background of the symbols they present. There is an obvious bias currently for good dragons right now in the culture of storytelling, but that can also just be considered a fad, and will likely oscillate back again. Of course, people are also becoming more and more spiritually…[Read more]

Cool! I believe there has been many examples of evil dragon armies, but it’s still makes a good threat. Another writer on here, Solfrye, is actually writing a story like that as well.
Personally, I do really like the good dragon trope, but your point is more than valid and hard to refute. All I can say is that dragons are usually quite…[Read more]

Ok sounds, good.
Heres a question,
cuz’ I’m new to RPing…heh heh:Â Do we wait for everyone to get on, or continue? I don’t mind waiting, its just seeming dead… -

Cool! Is there anything of note with your dragons? The dragon card can get duller and duller, but everyone still loves it because it’s… well… dragons. I’m no exception to this, but I still think that there’s got to be more interesting things one can do with the concept of dragons in terms of worldbuilding.

So going back to Celestiar do you have any character or story ideas, setting of any of the particular worlds, ect?

I think it has a Mistborn novella, so idk what else it would be.
It could be 0.5, The Eleventh Metal.

Yeah, though I think it’s really a matter of relative ignorance vs knowledge. If you don’t know enough about something, like something sufficiently advanced to the point you don’t understand it, it might as well be magic, by some definitions, it literally is magic to you, but something like a “magic system” that is sufficiently explained,…[Read more]
