@Reagan- Thanks for taking the time to write such an exhaustive reply! 🙂 There seems to be a disconnect between what I am trying to say and what you think I am saying. We define terms differently. You define magic as supernatural power. I believe magic is supernatural power from Satan. You believe Moses and Pharaoh’s magicians were all w…

Thank you for bringing up your concerns and presenting them civilly. 🙂 We’ve had similar discussions on this issue in the past, and I know I speak for the whole KP staff when I say we want KP to be a place for the sharing of many different viewpoints and ideas.
While you make a lot of good points, you also make a lot of assumptions a…[Read more]

99% of men don’t want to cry in front of other people. I don’t think he would be upset at not being able to mourn either.

Is it a good idea to take our world (planet earth, our solar system, our universe, etc.) and fantasize it? Even add other planets inhabited by extraterrestrial life? Is it a good idea to take something we know is fantastical and does not exist and place it in our world for a story?
Are you asking if it is morally okay to add fantasy elements…[Read more]

Are you asking if it is morally okay to add fantasy elements to a story that takes place in our world? If you are concerned about this morally, may I ask why? What are your concerns?

Thanks for the tips, Daeus. I have an… ahem… hypothetical case to present. Just a question, actually. Say a young man (sixteen, almost seventeen) was thrown into command of a tired, demoralized, losing army, while his father (who had been the commander) and his uncle (with whom he is very close) and his sweetheart (enough said) are captives of the…

@writefury Yo, that was a seriously awesome writing prompt submission you sent in. Congrats on being this weeks winner. And now I definitely totally want to read that story. I think you have to turn it into a novel now. You have no choice.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to write. XD Well, if I’m going to make it into a novel, I’ll definitely have to look up some more science on wormholes. I was kinda going off the top of my head, science-wise there. 😛
Well, it doesn’t have to be hard sci-fi. In fact, you make it more of a fantasy story that has sci-fi elements, such as wormholes. The MC could just have some kind of special ability that allows him to make wormholes, or maybe he has studied them a lot and talks about how he could explain it all, but doesn’t want to bore the reader. You don’t have…[Read more]
Okay. The wormhole Wikipedia page gave me way too many ideas. Now to figure out a non-cliche time travel plot… Maybe I should start a topic?
