@dragon-snapper thanks! I got my character literally stuck in a tree. He’s wanting to stay the night in the tree, and I can’t figure out how to make something exciting happen. *scratches forehead.* Ideas?

Wow, I just got the writing itch really bad. And as we all know, when you get an itch you have to scratch it. So I’ll be writing for 22 minutes on who knows what. 😀

@sierra-r wow, that’s great!!! Half of Luke, that’s a treasure.
During the summer, for the Bible Bee, each category Primary (age 7-10,) Junior (age 11-14) and Senior (age 15-18) memorize about 100 verses and study their discovery journal. At the end of the summer they all take a test and the top 120 to qualify for each category move up to the…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper
Yes, I have heard of Scripture Typer! Do you use it? It sounds like a great way to memorize Scripture.I have also memorized Psalm 100 and most of John 1! @daeus and one of my other brothers are both memorizing all of Proverbs while I’m memorizing all of the 2016 National Bible Bee Junior verses. Today I memorized Psalm 40 – I…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper, that’s the hardest question you’ve asked me so far! I love the whole Bible, it’s hard for me to say which book is my favorite, you know what I mean? 😀 Are you memorizing any passages?

Well, I looked up your first introduction post, and you said then that you were fifteen, and it was dated nine months ago. From that I concluded that you were either almost 16 or 16. 😀

Thank you so much, @sierra-r! Wow, those pictures are absolutely beautiful! I’m inspired. I think your camera is two models newer than mine, and I love the way they look. 😀 And the way you captured the sunlight is really neat. 😀

@dragon-snapper thanks! Yes, I love all those too. And Barbara Manatee.
Well you see, I was four years old and was helping Daddy pump the gas. And I got too close. And it got in my eyes. And that’s how it happened. Thankfully it happened only five minutes away from our house, and mama was able to dump a water-bottle full of water into my eyes…[Read more]

@perfectfifths *laughs out loud.* Yes, I know what you mean, actually. I guess I hadn’t thought about editing my own stories. I don’t like to do that nearly as much as I like to edit other people’s stories. I love editing other people’s stories, but I don’t get the same kind of thrill and enthusiasm when I’m editing mine. 😀 Ha ha!

@kina-lamb Yeah, when I read my friends’ stories, I’m very happy to point out all the niggly little grammar things and suggest ways to make it read a bit better (sometimes I feel I’m too picky!) And I think it’s because, with your own story, you’ve read it over and over and over so many times, it gets dull. But, in my case, at least, when I’m…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Ah, yes, Ear o’ corn and leg o’ lamb are great! I love it when they talk to each other. I also really like Grumpy. “Got any waffles?” What are some of your favorite books?

Aha, a very logical course of action. 🙂
Hi @emma-flournoy ! Do you have any ideas on how to describe an angry knocking on a door? I was thinking like a “Bang. Bang,” but then I thought it might be mistaken for gun shots. I thought about “Thud. Thud,” but it sounds kind of soft, do you think? It’s Turkish soldiers banging on the door of my great-grandpa’s house that I want to describe. Thanks!
Hey Kina!
You’re right, the ‘thud’ sounds kind of soft. ‘Bang’ is a little bettter, and I don’t think it’s too similar to guns, but it is very common. So…crack…pound…hammer…? Those wouldn’t all work the way you had it—the word repeated twice slowly. I mean, it would sound a little weird. ‘Hammer. Hammer.’
Hm. 😛 If you wanted to…[Read more]
@Kina-Lamb Did you find something to work?
@emma-flournoy oh sorry! I meant to reply to this. For now I’m just doing “Knock. Knock. Knock.” As I read over great grandpa’s story, I realized that the Turk soldiers weren’t really angry, they were just a little rough, so “Knock Knock Knock” sounds better to me now than it did before. I am going to add some background information before that. I…[Read more]
