@jenwriter17 Cool. 🙂
I’m reading your book today. Do you want comments or am I just reading it for fun? 😉

@rochellaine Wow, that is REALLY interesting! I’ll have to research that subject more, I’m really curious 😉

@seekjustice I think I’m going to say goodnight now. Sorry it’s a bit earlier than it used to be, but…it is past one o’clock here. 😛
Guess you probably won’t be on tomorrow, and I won’t be on the next day, but see you Monday/Tuesday. Goodnight!

@valtmy Ah, I’ve been having the same problem. For a really long time. 😛 I loved the beginning of my western and now it feels boring.
But I just remembered! I still haven’t read @jenwriter17‘s book! I think I’m going to read that now.
@seekjustice Well, hello again. 🙂 Did you read Jen’s book?

@valtmy Aaand, I just got distracted too. 🙂 Are you still here?
@seekjustice Back yet?

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #18 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
@seekjustice There have actually been a lot of studies on it, and we have several books on the subject…which I haven’t read… 😛
What are you working on now? Still editing your short stories?
@valtmy Hello! How are you doing?

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #18 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
@seekjustice @jenwriter17 Since I’m not an expert, I can’t give a real explanation. 😛 But basically he studied the types of chord progressions used in different styles of music, and which ones improved your health and which ones were detrimental to your health. Most people here will agree that rock music is detrimental to your health, I b…[Read more]

@rochellaine I can’t really chat now, but…
I didn’t know your brother had a degree in music! That’s really cool, including the part about how music affects people’s brains. What is it that you learned about contemporary music? (I don’t listen to contemporary Christian music either for the most part, just cuz I find most of it annoying)

@seekjustice My brother has a degree in music and has made a study of what types of music effect your brain in different ways, and based on that we don’t listen to contemporary Christian music. 🙂 So when people here talk about all sorts of musical groups and band names I have no idea what anyone’s referring to. 😛 But the music groups that I d…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh yes, I meant to ask. You said it’s going to be in a book? What book?
-
Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #18 in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 10 months ago
@seekjustice I also like “What a Comforting Thing to Know” and “Tell Him Anything” best. My brother’s favorite is “What has Love Got to Do with Getting Married?” 😛 Yes, “Position and Positioning” is great for a bit, but can get annoying after a while, haha. Have you been singing or listening to anything today?
Oh, sweet. There’s always tha…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yes, you certainly must! 🙂 What’s your favorite song from it? I remember you said you didn’t like “Why Can’t I be Two People,” because you think it sounds kind of bratty.
What story????? Have I read it? If not, can I?? If not, whyyyyy?? 😛
Haha, you say you’re setting your goal “quite low,” but it’ll still probably be about the…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hello! I’ve been singing “What a Comforting Thing to Know” all day. 😛
I’m working on my western. I would assume you’re editing Stars? 😉
Are you doing the July Camp NaNoWriMo? I remember you talking about it, but can’t think of what you would actually work on if you did, since you’re mostly editing and planning your projects ri…[Read more]

@seekjustice @valtmy @jenwriter17 @alia Are any of you around tonight?

@seekjustice I dropped out for a bit to eat dinner, but now have a little bit of time before going to prepare for the guests we’re having tonight and tomorrow. 🙂
How’s your editing going?

@seekjustice Oho! What kind of “situation” do you think it is? 😛 It’s actually just guys talking about guns, mostly. Probably not what you were guessing, right?
But hm, now you’ve given me an idea. Eavesdropping is cool, isn’t it? 😀
When I try to write a synopsis I usually get carried away, so instead I try to keep them in my head. And…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yes, I think so too. I’ll either have to find a way to make the story work with out that scene, or have Chara watching or something, so she can describe it, or else just find a few more scenes that I can do from Derek’s perspective.
I think I might be able to have that scene from Chara’s POV if she’s watching it happen or listening…[Read more]

@seekjustice And yet you used Zac’s POV in When Infinity is Empty which made it three. 😉 But that was only for a few pages. And it was pretty necessary.
I’ll consider it. Most of the scenes I have planned will very much not work with any POV but Chara’s. I thought if I did a second it would probably be Raelyn for a few scenes, but I just…[Read more]
