Amen to that! I pray that nothing I write causes another person to go astray.
Reagan, you asked what makes a vampire inherently demonic. I think I can answer that. Just so you know, I am getting some of this information from “He Came To Set The Captives Free” by Rebecca Brown. It is about a Satanist who got saved, and it is excellent; however, I…[Read more] -

Vampires, zombies, and werewolves are extremely demonic, and should not be written about lightly. If you are writing about spiritual warfare, and you really know what you are talking about, then that’s different; but otherwise, I believe that Christians should keep such dark, evil material out of their writing. Even if these creatures were…[Read more]

Of course! That’s an awesome idea. Thank you, Hannah.
So Kim manages to climb down the cliff without being noticed. Pushing her fear aside, she crosses the platform and climbs into the submarine. She finds herself in the control room, like Karen did. No one is in sight, but she hears voices down the right hallway. Instinctively she enters the…[Read more] -

Oh yes! That’s perfect. Now Karen is even more desperate to escape at once. How about this- Kim sneaks Karen into the servants quarters. While she hides there, Kim continues cleaning, etc. Suddenly, close to midnight, a guard from the cave bursts into the castle, shouting that the newest prisoner has escaped. (Her escape was discovered when the…[Read more]

Karen overheard the now-dead captain mention a vault that’s somehow connected to her sister. Is it an undersea vault? What’s it for? Did Kim get captured because she somehow discovered the existence of this vault? Maybe she also was eavesdropping on the captain and first mate, and got caught.
Kate, your idea about this being a government…[Read more] -

Oh, and what about this? Karen is anxious to escape at once, but her sister has made many friends among the prisoners and servants. Years ago, when she first escaped from the cave, she promised herself that she would figure out what the castle’s owners were up to, try to stop them, and free her friends. However, in all her time at the castle,…[Read more]

Do you mean the castle? It’s where the evil people who have been kidnapping and imprisoning all these people live (like in the Most Dangerous Game story). And now I have a question for you and Kate: why are they imprisoning all these people? Is it because they need hostages?

What if, in the furthest recesses of the cave, Katen finds a message carved in the rock. It’s too dark to read, so she traces the letters with her fingers. The message describes the entrance to a secret tunnel somewhere in the cave, and below it are the letters S. A., or whatever her sister’s initials are. Karen finds the secret entrance, and…[Read more]

If “Lost” was written next to Karen’s sister’s name on the list, does that mean she escaped from/disappeared from the prison? Or did she never actually reach the prison before disappearing? Please, somebody write this, because I want to read it!

It seems like there is a lot of persecution in Africa right now. At least, in Sudan and Nigeria. We get the Persecution Project’s magazines, and it seems like things are getting much worse over there. I admire the courage of the African Christians, and the way they are able to forgive their Muslim persecutors. I hope I can forgive like that.…[Read more]

That is so true. I don’t think there is anything more exciting than following God. -

Oh yay! Thank you. I based my climax on the assumption that one could, so I am very glad to know that.

This isn’t exactly related to sword fighting, but do you know if a 1311 English battleaxe could penetrate a mail covered leather shirt?

If I could choose where to be a missionary, I would go to the most dangerous country possible – maybe China, or Iran. But as to where The Lord is sending me- I’m not sure. Maybe South America?

Oops, I said that was my last question, but now I have another. 🙂 So, would a typical English broadsword in 1311 be one-handed, one-and-a-half handed, or two handed? Or did they use all three kinds at that time?
Thank you for being so helpful, Daeus. And thank you, Kate, for your imput. I’d never heard of a hand and a half sword before. -

One last question- do you hold a broadsword with one hand, or both hands?
