bethanys.inky.roses replied to the topic Do You Want to Be In a KP Promotional Video? in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 10 months ago
@aratrea I’ve only been on the forum a few months. Would it actually be helpful for me to shoot a video? I would use my four points to talk about what it is like to join the forum. I don’t want to go to the length of asking my parents about it and shooting myself unless you think a rather new forum member’s perspective would have potential.

@winter-rose Love it! Collages are so much fun, though it’s been a bit since I’ve made one.

Yes, the logo, site address, and motto. The name and tagline could be at the top, a few bullet type mentions below that, the address at the bottom, and then the back could be free for notes. What do you think, @bethanysinkyroses?

@stewie-plotter, we re-branded my title to “Dark” Overlord after we did all those focus groups, remember? They said “Evil” was a little too heavy handed and “Dark Evil” was too confusing. Something about Dark not meaning the same thing as Evil. To be honest, I wasn’t paying much attention during that focus group, but the troll-thingies down in…[Read more]

Definitely the logo and site address. And the motto, absolutely and without any doubt, because to me, that is the core.
Are those four things we identified, if any, the core and thusly needing to be written on the card? Honestly, I’m not sure. @hope What do you think? If we put just bullet type mentions, that could work. But are they even…[Read more] -

@bethanysinkyroses and @hope, Awesome thoughts! I totally agree with the main purpose of this handout:
A physical reminder of an amazing conversation with a fellow writer
I think it would be great to keep a lot of open space on the card for writing notes and such since it is used during a conversation. Thus, we are only putting the vary core of…[Read more]

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions!!
So if I am at a conference as an attendee, I can bring brochures to hand out. Okay! It might be kind of difficult to track if they sign up for the newsletter, but I’m willing to give it a shot. My family hopes to go if my dad can spare time from his business. That would be awesome if…[Read more] -

@bethanysinkyroses, I’m going to tag @aratrea (Josiah) because he just actually took KP to a homeschool conference.
I would definitely like to see KP at more homeschooling conferences because it is a place where we are most likely to be able to interact with our target audience (Young Christian Authors, or their parents in this case). I know at…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper, Fun fact, getting captured by dragons is actually how I got my Marketing job here at Kingdom Pen. Also, the fact that dragons smell like coffee is the number 1 reason why I was trying to capture them.

@anne-of-lothlorien I went on a relatively tame one when I was younger at Adventure World and I didn’t like the jerking turns for it. It wasn’t even very high up or anything, it was literally just a kiddy coaster 😛 I also went on a Dinosaur coaster when we went to LEGOland, California when I was five and I didn’t like it very much either.
Oddly…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien @dragon-sanpper If you think it’s hard to purposefully ruin your manuscript, I have an actual book called Wreck This Journal. Yeah. It was so pretty and perfect when I first got it, but now it’s all scribbled on, pages have been torn out, folded, ripped, stained, put through the wash in my pocket, the book has been tossed,…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I don’t have a dog because I have cats. Three of ’em. And putting a mutt in a moggie home is a death sentence. Two of them don’t always get along superbly as it is 😉 XD I like dogs well enough – I do prefer cats. But I know a few sweet pooches who I absolutely adore, and if we had a pup, I’m sure I’d love it because it would be…[Read more]
