Hey guys, so I was wondering how to incorporate magic into stories. The bible clearly stares that magic is evil, but its kind of hard to have fairies without magic. So what do you guys think about it?

@kate-flournoy Oh, good it was only your laptop. I was worried you might have met an untimely midlife demise.

@northerner @kate-flournoy 448. Not a lot, but I’m liking my story, so that’s what matters.

@Kate-flournoy, Don’t listen to him. Unless you die very young (which is rare), your midlife crisis cannot logically happen when you’re eighteen.

We’re prepping to shoot the next 2-3 videos in the character types series, and have some ideas for character types we could address, but I wanted to hear from you all first. Are there any character stereotypes you’d like to see us tackle? Let me know and I can see if we can address them in a future video!

@kate-flournoy Having your midlife crisis already? That’s another thing that happens at eighteen.

Northerner replied to the topic Writer's Corner #4 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
@kate-flournoy, I’m nineteen and really, I’m just as absentminded/forgetful/not all there as I was years ago.
@Daeus, I think I’m CST? (See, Kate?)

@kate-flournoy This is what happens to your brain when you turn eighteen.

@kate-flournoy He deserves to be a favorite, the poor guy.
And… I’m not going to use my trilogy for this lesson. It needs major thematic work and I’m not worrying about it right yet. Well, I am, but not here… Anyway, this is for the other novel I’ve mentioned. The one with the positive character arc where the MC’s experiment in living is…[Read more]

Hi Keepers,
I thought I’d better touch base and let you all know that I’m still around but just not able to spend time on Kingdom pen. I’m ashamed to admit that I breached my parents’ trust and that’s going to take some time and effort to…[Read more]-

@bluejay I was just thinking about you tonight, and wondering if you had gotten injured or sick. I’m so glad you are okay! 🙂 I’m sorry things aren’t going well. I will be praying for you, and for your family! We really miss you. :'( 🙂

Hey, @bluejay! Glad to see you again, though I’m sorry to hear what’s been going on! I was wondering where you went, especially since I made comments on that story you sent. If you’re still up for all that and want to get in contact with me, I have changed my email, so I’ll have to send it again 🙂
-
@bluejay, I’m so sorry this has happened for you. I have to say that I can fully empathize and understand where you’re coming from. Please know that I will not judge you, as I have also broken my parents trust on multiple occasions in the past. That was one of the reasons I started spending less time here. As you said, sometimes these things bring…[Read more]

@Bluejay!!! I’ve been thinking of you quite often and wondering what was up; and been praying for you, ’cause I’d no idea why I hadn’t heard from you in so long. I’ll certainly keep praying for you and your family, and I really hope all goes well.
Love you. *hugs* -
@Kate-Flournoy Just making sure you saw this.

@bluejay ah, I wondered where you went. I’ll be praying, for sure. And yes, believe me— in the long run, this will strengthen your family. 🙂

@bluejay Miss you bunches and bunches, girl, but I’m glad you gave us this update and were so honest! That take a lot of courage. Praying for y’all and proud of you for making a hard (but ultimately, I’m sure, good) decision!
-
I miss you a lot already, @bluejay . 🙁 Don’t stay away too long! I’ll pray that you and your family will be able to work things out.

@kate-flournoy Of course not. Everyone knows we are more intelligent than minions. Aren’t we, fellow dragoness?
@daeus Er…sure…sir Daeuses. If that’s the case, maybe you should go read Villainy Made Easy: Chapter Six–Minions and Anger Management. -

@kate-flournoy @daeus *jaw drops* Daeus has minions?! Not fair! I only have my talons and a dragon-sized brain!

Daeus replied to the topic Writer's Corner #4 in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 6 months ago
@kate-flournoy I’ll just dispose of them. That fulfills the villain stereotype.
