@Kate-Flournoy Ah; yes. That awkward moment when you forget your own website’s mission statement. xD Thanks for the feedback! I’ll see if I can make those page options any bigger.
@daeus That’s helpful. Were you picturing just a box outline around the smaller text, or for it to actually a box insert that would block out the cathedral picture…[Read more]

@Aratrea it looks great! I love the theme and the designs that you used. The layout is easy to navigate and I enjoyed how personable your pages are. I do agree with @Kate-Flournoy about the menu font size though. Maybe one or two sizes bigger would be better. I’d also title the “bio” page differently, something like “About” or “Meet Josiah” to…[Read more]

Hey KeePers!
So after telling people for about six months or so that if they’re serious about writing they should have their own author website, I finally decided it was high time that I started following my own advice. xD And I’d love to get your feedback on it before I officially “release” it, so to speak.
The website is currently live at…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy If I think of anything while I’m gone, I’ll comment it here and you can tell me if it’s a good idea or it.
Can you tell I’m a bit overwhelmed lol? I have no idea what to do next. No idea where to go…what to do…

@kate-flournoy It’s fine! Take your time! I’m in the progress of writing a whole bunch of other short stories for my Nano Project. I’m going to edit them all after July. Or if I finish soon enough, I’ll edit them later this month. I so, I don’t want you to rush or feel bad about not getting back to me. It’s fine.

Pause. I have to do the dishes, cause I’m home now, and then if we’re on can we move this to the actual google doc in itself? @kate-flournoy

You’re my brainstorming buddy. You’re always helping. @kate-flournoy
I feel like the logical move is to decide…the logical move for my characters. Kara and Blake head back to their cells, but now Kara knows that Blake has a lot of secrets. Matthias, the instigator, is in solitary and is rather incapable of doing anything at the moment…so…[Read more]

*sigh* Yes. Emotions. Fickle things, hard for me to write. I’ll get better at it eventually.
I don’t have any ideas for chapter 7. None. My brain is empty except for one thing that doesn’t even relate to the seventh chapter and I don’t know if I’ll even use it yet. @kate-flournoy

Hi guys,
I have a rather enormous announcement/request to make.
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to create my own e-course. I’ve had an idea for it too. I wanted to cover the “show don’t tell” rule. Now, to many people, that would seem like a crazy idea for a course, since…[Read more]

Really, really want to do this… I do need to be careful about how much time I realistically have, though. :/ What’s your planned schedule for this and when you’d need feedback by?
-
Ah, I should have mentioned that. My pace with this is going to be a little bit slow. I’ll try to write about a lesson a week. I only have my outline so far and a knowledge of the points I want to cover for each lesson. So this would be a gradual thing. I think honestly it might take me six months to get nailed down, though I might get ambitious…[Read more]

Got ya. I could give you feedback along the lines of #1 and #2 up through September 1st. After that, I may be able to give some sporadic feedback, but that will be completely dictated by my school schedule.
-
Okay, thanks. 😀 We’ll run with it.
-
-
-
-
Yes, yes, and yes again. When do I start?
-
I’m in. Absolutely. When do I start?
-
Haha. 😀 Great! Well, right now, if you want. This isn’t letting me post my original message, so I’ll try one piece at a time.
-
And here’s access to the course file. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzI8MlrraNgHekR6TWtEa2RTYW8?usp=sharing
-
I’ll try to do some lesson outlines this week. Maybe even today.
-
-
WOW. You’ve got a lot of categories. 😛 I love it.
-
Me too! This is awesome.
-
-
-
-
Ah, time is a tricky thing. Well, I’ll leave it up to you. Does it make sense for you to do this if you’ll only be able to cover the first (and admittedly simplest) part? If so, I’d be glad to have you. If you’re not so sure though, you could potentially be a beta viewer when this part’s done. Or you just ignore this course and have a good life. 😛
-
@kate-flournoy @that_writer_girl_99 @aratrea Part 1 has outlines for all the lessons if you’d like to go check them out. 🙂 I’m hoping to write out lesson one today.
@sierra-r Have you seen this yet?
-
Awesome! I’ll look them over today, probably later tonight. @daeus
-
@Daeus which one is part one…
-
Part 1 – emotion telling. Right at the top of my outline. There are four lessons listed under it.
-
Aha, thanks. Found it. 😉
-
-
-
Which lessons make up Part 1? Is there a doc somewhere that categorizes/lists all these lessons?
-
Here’s the outline https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W87kcWtV1azNc5zA34D9jQ3yNl-wbnGDgYOnxAhrs5k/edit
In parentheses at the top it says (part 1 – emotion telling) The four lessons under that are the ones that have outlines.

@dragon-snapper That’s great! Lol Glad you got something out of this series of posts.
@daeus @kate-flournoy Thanks for following the posts. I didn’t really know if anyone was really reading them, but now I know there were.
There’s probably no other genre that I can do this type of series on (besides fantasy, and it’s really not my thing). So I…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy I thought you’d like those ones. They’d help me in cover ideas too.
@dragon-snapper Hmmm, yes. But this title won’t be on the same page as the other titles and the rose is a pretty important element. There might be a little repetition, but I don’t think it’s enough to be jarring.
Thanks for all your help, everyone! I’ll post a few…[Read more]

Thanks so much, everyone. That prompted several cool ideas. So… what do you think? Favorites or changes? I’ve two places I couldn’t decide on a word so I included both.
1. War for Aslaria
2. War for Zahava or Zulema
3. War for Veritas1. The Sacrifice
2. The Steadfast or Subjection
3. The Subversion1. Ancient Oath
2. Rejected Pardon

@dragon-snapper Yes, it is like a trilogy of three trilogies. Hmmm, I do like the idea of themes as titles. That could be cool. Or a final ‘War’. See, Alsaria is the land and Zahava is the captial city. I could see if I can find another location to center the last three novellas around.
@bethanysinkyroses I only have the first three novellas…[Read more]

If you could think of a third war to make that last one fit, I don’t think that would be so terribly wretched.
Yeah, like War for Truth, or if you had another country or something to name it after. 😀
