@Emily Hey, I’m a native. I was born and lived there the first few years of my life. It’s my state too, so I can insult it if I want.
Anyway, I stepped in a fire-ant hill with bare feet in sandals there, so my memory is slightly tarnished. But OTHER THAN THAT, it’s great. ;PYup, I’ve watched The Princess Bride. Love it to pieces.

@catwing I don’t know much about writing synopses, but what you have sounds super interesting! I can’t wait to read the story and find out how Alex and her friends save the kingdom. 🙂

@Dekreel to tone it down from being so dark, you could change the aspects of fear and horror/dismay that the tree feels, to a sense of confusion and curiosity. That would shift the mood from ‘scary’ to a much lighter feel.
A way to avoid so much of the human terminology you can use similes instead. Saying “I feel a great, pulsing joy in my heart”…[Read more]

@ingridrd I’m back…but if anyone comes along claiming I must return to the gold from whence I came, I don’t know what I’ll do. Especially is someone says:

@ingridrd I can’t hug all of them!! I had like 120 stuffed animals…now I have guilt.
*sigh*
My only critique is that I though the dog was real so I was confused when you said the button nose was falling off…but otherwise it is really cute. 😀

@Ingridrd ooh, I’m getting strong velveteen rabbit/toy story vibes. 😀 I love the open end though; there’s still hope. 😉
And… believe it or not I really don’t have any criticism. It’s adorable. It made me feel guilty about my stuffed leopard that I haven’t talked to in ages. And it has that sweet, half-wistful tone of all stories told from the…[Read more] -

@perfectfifths Yeah. I knew it was in editing mode. I left it that way because sometimes people like to leave long comments at the end of a story. Suggesting mode is much better for editing in general though. You can switch it to suggesting mode whenever you like.
