“Because it’s cold on the surface, idiot!” Krenna snapped. “I don’t care if you don’t like my logic. And it’s your problem if you want to think we’re all about to die!”

Krenna

“Well, that’s your problem,” Krenna snapped. “What are you so scared of anyway? And if you don’t live on the surface or underground, where do you live on your world?”

Krenna

“We’re not on my world,” she shrugged. “We live underground there. It would hardly be fair if we were on yours.”

Ellis

Ellis slammed his sword back into its sheath, glancing around. Ottoline was slumped limply on the ground. “You better hope not.” He glowered at Snake, still harboring some ill-feeling even though he knew it wasn’t the hybrid’s fault.

He turned and walked towards Ottoline to see if she was alive.

Krenna

“Relax, nitwit,” Krenna said. “Whatever weird world your from, we’re not on it.”

Krenna

“Isn’t that the best time to panic?” Krenna asked, looking at the man by the window. “And so what we’re above ground? It isn’t too cold.”

Izre

Izre didn’t particularly like the idea of blindly following the orders of a disembodied voice, but she didn’t know what else to do, so she trailed after the group. If things went bad, she could just dismember anyone who stood in her way.

“Did I say that?” hissed Krenna. “Next time I’ll just keep it to myself! And you can all spend hours looking!”

Suddenly, a loud voice filled the hall, emanating from nowhere in particular.

“Guests, make your way to the grand dining hall. You should be able to find your way there. All will be explained in due time.”

The voice ceased, leaving everything quiet.

Here they were, lost in a completely foreign castle that was apparently above ground (although that didn’t seem to bother anyone else) and they were discussing the drinking of burnt plants?
