Welcome to KP! I’m Jonas, more enigmatically known as Cloaked Mystery. I write mostly in the fantasy genre, but usually with hard rules that verge on sci-fi. I like creating magic systems, usually hard ones, but I have a few soft-ish ones. My current project, which I am working on with my sister, @highscribeofaetherium, is a l…[Read more]

Yes, I essentially believe that morality is a reflection of God’s character. A common question is whether God commands things because they are good (which would make morality something beyond God) or certain things are good because God commands them (which would make God’s commandments arbitrary.) I think that the two are int…[Read more]

Interesting. So your point is that Omnibenevolence is not a requirement to be God, but He’s just good out of personality.
I would say that we can’t really comprehend “requirements” to be God. I think the requirements conform to who God is, but it’s not really possible to say, because a universe where God was different would be…[Read more]

I think Descartes would argue that existing is not a necessary attribute of a perfect island. I’m not exactly sure why that would apply to the concept of a perfect entity, but not other things. I may not have explained it particularly well.
If you subscribe to immaterialism, then how does the immaterial influence the m…

I just read about an argument that is similar to one of the ones you shared above but seems a bit stronger in my opinion. It was created by Descartes. He argued it like this:
- I have the idea of a perfect entity in my mind.
- The idea of a perfect entity could not come from an imperfect being.
- Therefore, the idea must come…

Yeah, all our efforts to revive it seem useless. I’m wondering if we would be better off starting over/replacing this RP, like I mentioned we could do before. People were worried that it would just kill both RPs, but this RP is basically dead already, so I’m not sure we have anything to lose…

Well to be fair, Robin Hood is something that people could make adaption of that take place in different times and/or places. Although it seems that you just transplanted the characters to Mexico. They even have the same names. It’s hilarious how you confusingly laid out your character’s history, and then made it completely irrelevant.

Robin Hood’s a pretty cool guy, but nope. Never had an obsession.

My Arvendin language also does not use Q. Or X. Or Z, Or F. (The first two are left out because they are unnecessary. The last two just because.)

Okay, I skimmed this argument, so I thought you yourself said that.
I actually think that c would not be the one to go if we changed it now. C is way more common, and it would probably be easier to change all the Ks to Cs than to change all the Cs to Ks or Ss. If I were the person who invented this alphabet, though, I would have left C out.

Marcurious, what happens if you try to turn into an animal that doesn’t fit in the space you’re in?

Sure!
Literally all we have to do is replace every Q with a CW or KW. That might look weird, but the only reason you never see those is because Q (pointlessly) exists.

In my opinion, C is completely unnecessary. That’s not to say we should remove it from our alphabet, but if you were creating a new alphabet, why would you create C if it doesn’t do anything that K and S can’t already do? In response to RAE’s argument that it makes C more versatile, the problem with that is that yo…[Read more]

I don’t know why I was obsessed anyway…but I was constantly imagining being in Robin Hood’s gang and killing Sir Guy of Gisborne and Prince John and saving Maid Marian from the tower her father locked her in…that is all I wanted to play and all I wanted to read was Robin Hood books! I read one Robin Hood book that I don’t even know how I…[Read more]
