Hey, anyone want to get distracted with me? 😎
(Just kidding, you don’t have to get distracted, exactly. . . If you can help it.)

@jenwriter17 Cool.
Nope, no advice. I’ve been looking over the plans you and others have suggested on this thread and thinking that if I ended up joining it’d be sink or swim for me, with a leaning toward sink. 😛 I am so inconsistent in my work! Basically I mean, if I was able to keep up it would be just what I need to be consistent in my wr…[Read more]

Thank you! This is helpful. I also read an older article Reagan Ramm wrote about cussing in stories, which had some good thoughts.

I have been wondering about the use of swear words in my stories. As a Christian, is all swearing out of the question? Since I write primarily historical fiction, I want my dialog to reflect reality, but I also don’t want to go to far. (An example would be a roman swearing by Jupiter or some other god in his sentences.) Any ideas? Is ther…[Read more]

Please pray for my sister. When we moved to Idaho, we had to leave her bunny with friends in Kansas because we are renting and the landlord said no pets. We had hoped to bring her rabbit up soon, but…it died. This is very hard for our whole fa…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 @seekjustice @valtmy @dekreel I’m back. Is anyone here tonight?

@jenwriter17 I’ll probably be on again around 10:30 or 11:00 EST.
I’m currently humming the theme song of the Dick Van Dyke show in my head, though. 😉

Sorry Jen that I never got back to you (happy birthday by the way)
I think the numbers already posted are a good fit. It needs to be small, but there obviously needs to be enough people to give a variety of criticism. As to actually making it, I’m not really sure. I would suggest looking into something like Google hangouts (though…[Read more]

Bye!
Introverts only joke about that (I think anyway). I quite like people actually. I would argue though that labelling people as extrovert/introvert is helpful sometimes. I have extrovert friends who just don’t understand the need to be left alone, so in that case reading about introverts would be helpful for them to…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, I don’t like them because I don’t trust them, and I think they kind of limit people. I feel like if you tell someone “Hey, you’re an introvert!” they’ll think about it, then they’ll believe you, and they won’t ever try to be an extrovert. They’ll just think, “Oh, I’m an introvert, I don’t have to go out and meet people.” So…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, out of only my four mainest characters, Chessy’s the only extrovert, and even then…she’s kind of an introverted extrovert 😛

@jenwriter17 I remember Jax, but I don’t remember the characters vividly enough to really say if they’re this type or that. (I have an overabundance of introverts too! I guess I find it hard to imagine what it’s like being extroverted!)
