@supermonkey42 Random guess: Tomorrowland.
I’ve never seen that movie, but it seems like that quote would be from it.

@supermonkey42 Uhhh, actually it is Totoro. It was after the girls had the dream about growing a tree and they get up to find that the trees have actually sprouted.

@dragon-snapper I wasn’t going to! XD Unless you saw it, of course.
Of course then I’d be bugging other Kapeefers who haven’t seen it and are reading this conversation…
Anyway, it was very good, I’ll tell you that! 🙂

@dekreel Ack! No. Nononononono! Don’t tell me anything!!!

@dragon-snapper Random question: Have you seen the new Star Wars movie yet?
-
Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dekreel Pretty much. Thanks. 😀

@dragon-snapper I guess you’re the type who likes to drawl out her plot-line instead of get it over with quickly. I admire that 😉

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dekreel It’s a little different on Taranar. On Taranar, evil monkeys are constantly trying to steal inspiration so they know which kind of bananas to eat. On Earth, the first ten chapters are evil. Then, once you get past that, you just look forward to the climax. I also like to record how far into the story I am. I’m about 70% through the novel…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Heheh *returns writerly smile*
How on Taranar do you get to even 10,000 words without losing inspiration?!

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dekreel I’m about two chapters into that. Joel’s just about to have his life ruined. 😀 *writerly smile*
I’ve decided I’m going to write that after I finish up another novel I paused on though. That’ll only be 30,000ish words, then I’ll do the Kiwi story. 😀
Yep…I have way to many ideas.

Joy replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dragon-snapper No kidding…
Btw How is the Kiwi story going? How much have you done?

@dekreel *gives you lots of material*
Well, thankfully I have backups absolutely everywhere, so I’m safe…but it certainly was weird.
They just…disappeared.

@dragon-snapper ….Ohh, YES! You just gave me material for the KPA!! Thanks!
ERR, I mean… Oh, no! I hope you find them!
(And I do genuinely hope you find them! Two chapters is a lot! 🙁 )

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@Dekreel Both Damsel in Distress and warning the king. 😀 The more cliches the better.
And I just found out I’m missing an entire two chapters from my novel….*blink* Were they went, I have no clue.

Joy replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dragon-snapper Well, if you’re not a damsel in distress, I’ll be a damsel in distress. Or not! Doesn’t matter 😉
Both of what?

Snapper replied to the topic Writers' Corner #11 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 4 months ago
@dekreel Well, the only reason I’m against captured is because there’s already some of that going on to someone else…although I do like the idea of Damsel in distress…although, I’m not a very damselly in distressy kind of person. Maybe the villain could think we’re damsels in distress, but we’re really just strong female stereotypes. XD
Yep.…[Read more] -

@dragon-snapper Hmmm… Well, I’d rather get captured by villains because that’s more exciting to me, but I also think going to warn the king is more cliche. Maybe one of us could get captured, and the other could escape and tell the king? *shrug* Sorry I couldn’t give a more definite answer! 🙂
OOOH, do you have the “damsel in distress” in…[Read more]

@dekreel XD That’s perfect.
Yep. Like I said, you help me with the bacon tents. I haven’t decided if we get captured or not. Which do you think is more cliche: getting captured by villains, or finding out something terrible and rushing back to warn the king?
