Awh, thanks so much for reaching out in the Chat Chat. That means so much. Life is good and God is loads better!
I didn’t hop on KP much in July because on the 3rd I found out that God opened up a brand new opportunity! And I had just three weeks to prepare a 45 minute talk! It was my first time speaking to women and teens at a conference, but, if God wills it, it won’t be my last. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time and I was ecstatic that God decided I was ready.
The next three weeks that followed the 5 day conference I was called upon to step up as a temporary manager at work. August was nearly over at that point, but I dusted off my pen again, shrugging that I didn’t reach my goal of ten Summer videos and starting anew with writing vigor and poetic melodies.
New adventures lie ahead! Some send me running desperately to the cross and some make me want to dance with all my being for Jesus. I hope to be around KP more this semester and explore learning with Story Embers.
As I craft my stories I’m filled with a greater thankfulness that God is the Great Author, details climaxing in His victory and glory.
How have you been, my friend?
That is so amazing that you had the opportunity to speak aloud, it must have been so exciting! I’m so glad you are well, and I missed talking with you on here 💗
I’m doing good, been pretty busy with school and working around our property. We have 27 pets, if you count all of our chickens! I have the opportunity to volunteer at a library, which I will hopefully be able to do, I think it would be so much fun to learn all about the library!
My WIP has been coming along better than I hoped for, usually I get distracted, but this year so far I have gotten around 21,000 words and continuing! I’m so excited to be getting somewhere! Another big thing that is coming up for me is driving (gasp!) I’m so nervous, but excited at the same time! Its going to be so strange being able to drive myself places, lol!
The only bad thing is I have been a bit lonely here after our move, its been almost six months and I have only met a few people, I’m so used to being with people 24/7 🙂 But the good thing is we have friends a few towns over with kids around our age. They encouraged us to move and we are all great friends!
Thank you for chatting! 💗

It kinda funny how it’s similar: when I was first driving, my parents were juggling lessons and unpacking from our move.
Ooh, how’s the library going? What do you get to do? This new semester God has brought so many new people into my life, so I’m slowly trying to make new friends. (And it’s cool how He has answered my prayer for college student writers.) Are you able to make friends quickly or does it take a bit?
I just finished wood-working on a shelf under my bed for organizing adult files (like health, car, and money stuff). And it’s cleared out room to hopefully become my writing space. I’ve been reading the biography of Fanny Crosby and that’s been super special for this aspiring poetess. My newest YouTube video was a song I wrote and recorded for my brother’s birthday. That was a fun project. I lost my voice with colds many times in the midst of it, so recording was tricky. I like how it turned out and several people said it got stuck in their heads.
How’s the WIP? Remind me of the characters again.

Hi! So, I actually did not volunteer at the library (I’m still going back and forth with the idea) But have actually began to consider getting a real job next year when I’m 16. Yikes! Lol! The problem is I have no idea what I want to do/become.
The good thing is, I joined a Christian homeschool group and there is sooo many people there. Its beginning to feel like home a bit over here, which is a bit of a surprise to me since I was struggling to like it.
But I did go to a barn dance for high-schoolers they held. Nearly 100 people went! And me, loving big crowds, went, without knowing anybody. I’m so glad I went, I got to meet a bunch of people around the area! (I guess I make friends easily)
Lets see… I can talk about my WIP for hours, 🙂 (I also reached 30k!!!!) But heres the shortened version…

Shauna Sarah Smith, a fourteen year old girl who lives in Windy Pines witnessed the very first launching of a new moon into the atmosphere. At first everyone thought it was a great idea, as the moon brought electricity to the world. But that all changes when the moon brought to much power and fried everything. An EMP happened. Everyone is in panic, shortly after people mysteriously begin to dissapear.
Find out how the world will fall into chaos and how five brave kids try to bring back the peace.

So thats about it, It may sound a little dark, but its not as bad as it sounds 🙂
Anyway, you sing? That’s amazing! I cant. I was even in a musical, but was the ensemble and only had a speaking part. 🙂
I have never heard of Fanny Crosby, I have been re-reading books that I have, especially Roald Dalh and “A little Princess.”
A college for student writers? That sounds so cool!
Hope your doing great! Thanks for chatting!
