Cool! Yay! A fellow Penguin! One thing about that week I really loved was finding a group of young girls who were friends and writers, about the same age as I was when I started writing with my friends. It was cool to kinda come back to my youth. And also speak in as an “older sister” in the way I wished I had a mentor or someone…[Read more]

Hi! I’ve seen a few posts about some people being at CWW and I think that’s really cool how there is a virtual fellowship of young Christian writers in the same circles.
How are y’all’s writing goals going so far?

This isn’t the prettiest rhythm, but I love the heart.
Lord don’t let me
walk with You with my dregs
when I’ve spent
all of myself with the rest.
I’m surrounded by distracting tolls
when You by right
should own my best.
Fix my broken eyes to purely
and firstly view
working and walking wholly
with the fullest of me for You.
(Also, do…[Read more]

Hey! How’s your allegory going? I’ve begun writing one of my own, an autobiographical biography– that makes writing easier because I know what God has taught me and then I just have to translate what that looks like for my characters and setting.
My favorite allegory would be Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard. I’m…[Read more]

But now, thus says the Lord,
your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear,
for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name;
you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
And through the rivers,
they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will n…[Read more] -

This is my first published poem (published on the Rebelution). When I had HFMD, I had to quarantine in my bedroom, a familiar space–lonely, but familiar and full of my things. Then a month later with covid, I had to quarantine in the guest room. And it was scary to be carrying such a dangerous disease. And it was scary to be alone in a “strange…[Read more]
