@winter-rose Thank you, thank you very much. 🙂 Hey, good you had fun.
@jane-maree Woah… you are very speedy! xD *salutes*
@seekjustice 80,000 is quite a goal. Good luck!
@perfectfifths That’s a good idea! I may have to try that. (Just not in December. I’m going to nap for the entire month. 😉 ) Oo, you’re reading the CoMC? Me too! -

I reached 50,085 on day 27. I did not write yesterday, but I plan on continuing this story (I’d better, I’ve put a lot of work into it!) and trying to write every day again. My friend suggested a word goal for every month might help, and I think that’s a good idea, though something less ambitious than 50,000 all the time, maybe like 30,000. I’ll…[Read more]

Heeeey…
So, I kinda wrote a synopsis for my outlined novel. (Yes, I haven’t even started writing the dumb thing yet, but I need a synopsis for… REASONS. *solemn nod* Plus, they’re handy things to have lying around. I’ll change what I have to when the book is finished. So.)
Having never written a synopsis (or anything even remotely resembling a sy…[Read more]

@daeus Hm, it’s a bit long. I’ll try to see if I can cut a couple parts out of it later….
@seekjustice Mm. I agree. It’s kinda hard though because throughout the battle I don’t just focus on one character, it’s more like I keep switching to different people throughout it. Plus, the “main” character that I focus mostly on is kinda an awkward…[Read more]

@waterlily Hmmm… Good question. Is this for the sci-fi NaNo you were talking about? 🙂
If you do first person, then you can basically get a full-on view of what the character is thinking. So you’re more inside his/her head, seeing what (s)he is seeing, feeling what (s)he is feeling. But that also means that the movement of the reader is…[Read more]

@0-0enyali0-0Â Oooh! That’s a good question! Others might have better answers than me, but let me try…
So it sounds to me like you’re describing every detail of what’s going on in the battle by itself. That tends to sound like a school lecture if you describe a dramatic scene from the outside without looking at how the characters are feeling…[Read more]

Hi Friends,
I need to come up with a name for a writing school to host my courses under.
I’ve come up with Excelsior Writing School. What do you think? I like it, but I’m not committed to it.
If you have any other suggestions, I’m open to them. 🙂

Some of you probably know that I am writing a Doctor Who novella. Well, I need some help. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a Whovian XD) There is a giant hole in my plot! So far I have this:

Elizabeth replied to the topic Allora Things in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 8 years, 5 months ago
@Jane-maree Yep! Bellegarde and Autodon trade back and forth, and Bellegarde trades with Trellor, but Autodon and Trellor don’t get along very well, so the technology in Trellor is pretty much what you’d expect for a medieval realm.
Politics! There’s two layers to this. One of the key facets of Allora’s government is the military forces. Each of…[Read more]

To all who should see this: hello! Welcome to another of Elizabeth’s random threads. This thread pertains to my newest story idea, which is currently running under the title The Chronicles of Allora. It’s not the official title, just a working one. I think it makes my rants, outlines, and crying fits sound cooler. More dramatic.
