Welcome to the site @radically-surrendered! Glad you were able to pull yourself enough away from social media to join us. 😉 Have you written any longer works in the past, or will this pirate story be your first?

@joy I’m doing it! My first time was last year, and I only got to 31,000-something words, but it was a big accomplishment for me! It was how I was able to complete a 17,000-something-word novelette. Your novel sounds really great!
This year my story is sci-fi, which is a new genre for me as well. I’ve been plotting it since late August, and…[Read more]

@rolena-hatfield thank you! (I have mysteriously gained three followers overnight!) I’m not working on all those stories at once, they’re just the stories I currently have going. :D. There are quite a lot of them though, aren’t there?

@joy @Tatiana I’m planning on doing NaNo. I’ve done both the camps this year, but I’ve never done the official. both of your stories sound really interesting!! I’m working on a dystopian, which is another thing I’ve never done before.

@radically-surrendered welcome!! I’m SeekJustice, also seventeen. Mexico sounds like a really interesting place to live (I’m from Australia)! And all those languages!! I know the tiniest bit of German, which I picked up while I was writing a book about a German boy, but I’ve always wanted to learn it properly. 😀 Everyone seems to have flooded you…[Read more]

Hi @radically-surrendered! Realistic fiction is often called contemporary.
Ooooh, an ISTJ, interesting.
What would be your least favorite genre to write in?
And welcome!

@catwing Ah… I am afraid I am alergic to you then…
Oh wow… lots of faery godparents. So far I think I may stay with two. Taryn is still trying to get over the shock of them… and kinda failing while she’s at it…
But thanks anyway! -

@catwing Maybe to Jack it would appear that the flashlight appeared out of nowhere? Like, he can’t see the fairy yet, because he doesn’t know they exist. He doesn’t believe in them yet?

@catwing Gotta love the humor! 😛
Hey catwing, go outline. 😉
Suddenly, a flashlight appeared out of nowhere. Jack put his hand on his head, clenching at his hair! “Goodness me! A flashlight! My requests have been answered!”

@catwing Yes! Isn’t editing so much fun!
I’m going through and killing all the telling, and making my sarcastic character ten times as snarky. It’s awesome. 😛 I’m about 16, maybe 17% through with editing. Making progress. 😀
I’ve been able to incorporate world building too, which I decided to do after I wrote the book. *hides under piles of…[Read more]

Erm, let’s not talk about my test.
@dragon-snapper It’s actually a relatively…doable class, all things considered.

Ethics is…studying different lines of philosophical thought and applying them to real-world scenarios, while at the same time trying to find the decision that benefits everyone. @dragon-snapper
