@dbhgodreigns, Yes, I see what you’re saying. I completely agree about Tim Shoemaker’s books; they’re awesome!
We need to get @kate-flournoy and @daeus‘s thoughts on this topic. 😉

@zoe-wingfeather, Hmm, those are some interesting points. I’ve never really thought about using smell like that before. And names! Am I the only one who spends 30 hours looking at baby name lists just trying to find the perfect name for the MC? XD Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Chloe!

@bluejay, well, I guess we envy each other! Haha 😉
That is sweet! 😀 Awesome job! See, you’ve written a novelette. So short stories aren’t the only thing you can write. 😉 Seriously, awesome job! 🙂 -

YES! YES! YES! and YES!
Ok, clarification: a jumper is what you American’s would call hoodies. *At least, I think* (Actually I had better change that as this is suppose to be an American story.) *the joys of different words which are for the exact same thing* 😉
You shouldn’t loathe letter writing. That’s great fun. 😀 (Alright, confession: I did…[Read more] -

Thanks both of you.

@faithdk I’ve reached 7,630 words. Which takes my story out of the short story category and makes it a novellette. 😀 Now, it go back through and refine it. *Stares at story* This might take sometime. 😀 *Such fun*

@writefury, thanks for your suggestion. 🙂 I’ve written a short story once but, honestly, they aren’t really my thing. 😛 I guess they’re just short (I know, that’s the point. 😛 Haha. 😉 ). But I’ve always liked longer stories. And, for me, short stories are so difficult to write! I know…weird 😛
And yes, I agree. Not planning is really where…[Read more] -

@mas410, Really?!?! That’s so cool! You’ll have to refresh my memory; where have we met before? I’m sure I’ll remember…I’m kind of having a brain-foggy day. 😉

Wonderful @spradlin!
Though I have a hard time imagining a bard singing something like this in a tavern… more like at a funeral. 😛

“Now what it the capital of Australia?”
“Um…” Chloe eyes glanced everywhere frantically. She hadn’t remembered studying anything about Australia. She didn’t even know where it was. She glanced at the boy in front of her. He was tapping the back of his jumper which had the names of all the students in her grade. ‘Sydney.’
“Sydney,” she…[Read more] - Load More
