It’s a good excuse to get out a social situation you never wanted to be in though. “Excuse me, I must go. My child is calling.”
Except that you’re only seventeen… 😀
@jenwriter17 Hello! My novel is also calling me, and I’m trying to ignore it and write a long-overdue blog post, but since I have no idea what to write for the post a…[Read more]

@seekjustice Haha, yes! 😀
Well, I’ll have to go now. I’m not sure if I’ll be on tomorrow, but I should be able to get some good time Friday, I’ll tag you if I do. See ya! 🙂

I tried to edit my post and it got deleted. So here I’m posting it again. 🙂
@ariel-ashira @alia It’s not an amazing poem, but you can read it if you want. Here’s the link.
@seekjustice Wow, good logic! 😛 Okay, so I live in Maryland. Literature usually designates Maryland as part of the South. We have fox hunts, fried chicken, pla…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, if you look at it technically and literally, I am in the South. I live below the Mason-Dixon line which is the official start of Dixie. There’s a reason I can give you for why most people think we don’t live in the south, but before I do that:
What state do you think I live in? I don’t remember ever stating sp…[Read more]

@jenwriter I like more of the traditional, not-so-modern sounding music. XD. Well…sometimes I like more popular Christian, but it really depends.
Sarah Sparks!! Oh my gosh. Her Narnia music is so beautiful.
Keith and Kristyn Getty have some pretty good stuff too.
Shane and Shane have some good music as well.

@seekjustice I’ll be back in about 15-20 minutes. Will you still be here?

@seekjustice 🙂 cool.
I got your ‘invitation to edit’ your last part of your sequel. I don’t know how you write so much! 😉

@seekjustice @alia @ariel-ashira @rochellaine Sorry to those who tagged me today, I’ve been gone all day at the zoo. 🙂 Is anyone still on writing?

@seekjustice I’m not back. 😀 I’m just popping in to say give that advice to your sister, sure, but tell her to take it with a grain of salt, since it comes from a writer who can’t possibly kill her own characters. 😛
Also to say that I’ve never that I can remember heard @catwing‘s saying. 😉 America’s a big place, and we have a lot of di…[Read more]

@seekjustice Tell your sister that I understand the problem, but from everything I’ve read with advice on writing that’s considered a very bad reason to kill a character. If you need to kill them off, have a good reason to do so. Don’t just do it because you can’t think of anything else to do. 😀

@catwing Your brother got you a sword? Well, my brother got me a Civil War style Colt Navy revolver. Top that!
😛 😛 😛 😛 😛
Seriously, though, I read your blog post about it and the sword sounds really cool!
(Especially since the range we normally go to won’t allow black powder guns, so I rarely get to shoot the revolver anyway. 🙁 )

@seekjustice Thank you! Bless you! I will survive.
And think of the many great authors who didn’t kill characters in every novel. Even C.S. Lewis didn’t. He only killed characters in some of his books. Jane Austen, of course, but you don’t like her, so that’s not really a good argument.
Can’t you all think of any more?
@alia Thank you f…[Read more]

@seekjustice Nevada is very far away from me. 🙂 I’m on the East Coast, and it’s nearly on the West Coast. However, I go out there in July or August every year to Lake Tahoe for a conference my law school holds there. *sits back and waits until I can breathe again* You seriously have a map of the US for us on KP? What do you do, put pins in it…[Read more]

@alia Yes, they would be. What I was saying is that the majority of her characters seem to get themselves killed, so rather than waiting till the book is done and just fading out of her charge like most writers’ characters do, they get suddenly cut off in the middle of the book.

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #16 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 2 months ago
@alia No! SeekJustice’s characters get “out of her charge” when she kills them!!!!
That would possibly be relieving for some, if they were Christians, I guess. Except characters aren’t real, so when they die, they just die. They can’t actually go to heaven.
@seekjustice Go ahead and defend yourself if you like. I’m just stating facts. 😛

@seekjustice Haha! I’m actually working on a blog post right now. You have nothing to worry about when you compare your frequency of posts to mine! My last post was nearly a month ago, while yours was only eight days ago.
Well, I do have a cousin who’s a police officer. He’s a K-9 officer, actually, which is pretty cool. But he’s reall…[Read more]
