I would say that a parody is a work that pokes fun at another work or a certain genre of works. For example, so far in my WIP every single one of the drama performances is based on a real life show. 😛

Maybe I should stop calling it a romance parody but a things-I-have-watched parody.

@valtmy *chuckles nervously* um, yeah.  She actually hasn’t been up to much.  That’s the problem. 😛  But I’ll work on it. 😀

Okay, that’s what I thought.  Now, follow up question: What’s your definition of parody?  Not the dictionary definition, but what do you think when you hear the word “parody?”

For lack of a better description, yes, my WIP is a romance parody.

@valtmy Wow, haha. 😛  I’m not sure what that means but I think you’re saying I need to update soon.  😛

I have a question.  Your book is supposed to be a romance parody, right?  Or did I get that mixed up with something else?  During my semi-break I kind of lost focus on everyone’s WIPs but SeekJustice’s, so sorry if I’m remembering wrong.

That’s a good attitude. One which I should adopt as well. 😛

I think I’ll do some editing and upload my new chapters soon. Hopefully I’ll have more motivation after that.

@valtmy I think I have a section almost ready for beta reading too, I just have to accept that it’s not going to be perfect the first time around and that’s why I’m putting it up for you all to read… 😉

Haha I talked with her for a little while about this before and she says angsty parts can be hard too.

I do have enough new material to put up for beta reading though so maybe I’ll do so for a change of pace. But I’ll have to get over myself before I can do that.
