@ingridrd Devan sounds perfect for this character. Only the spelling makes me think a little of the word “divan.” Which is totally beside the point and I’m probably the only one who thinks that way, but I thought I’d let you know anyway.

@ingridrd I like Devan too, but can I cast my vote for Arian? It isn’t a name you hear a lot, but it’s not hard to pronounce or spell which is nice.

@ingridrd Great!  I like Devan because it makes me think of someone who’s a bit of a rascal, but still confident and commanding.

I also love the name Larik, which was posted here by @daughteroftheking .  A regular name that gives me the same impression of character is Zac.

@ingridrd Last night I lost about 500 words of a short story when my computer failed. 🙁  For some reason it didn’t even autosave.  So now I’m trying to remember what I had written and re-write it.
