@ellette-giselle Hey! How are you doing?

    • Hi! Been a while! I’m doing pretty good! Writing away like anything. How about you? Hows the second book coming?

      • I know!!
That’s good! Funn! Are you still working on the WW2 series, or did you finish?
I’m doing alright! Second book, I don’t know. 😂 I haven’t been working on it too much. Recently I’ve been wondering whether or not to continue, or if God wants me to work on something else. So just not really feeling sure about that, but I’m hoping for more direction soon. 🤷‍♀️
You’re planning to move out soon, right? Or have you already? (Also I think you mentioned some big changes with your publishing company, right? How is that going?)

        • I have the first two books of the trilogy done, but I pushed the 3rd to the side because the other two are going through edits with several editors and I can’t write the 3rd until those edits are done to make sure nothing serious changes.
I have written about five other books between then and now… *counts on fingers* yeah five. And I am currently working on a WWII set that I LOVE! It’s more geared toward adults, (the last book I wrote was as well) I mean, I am an adult, but have been writing YA because that was the age I was when I started, and now I realized that maybe I should try jumping the line and writing for my age and older, and I have been, and I love it so much!

OH NO!!! No! Don’t be one of those authors that gets me hooked and never finishes!!! I LOVED your first book and I would be so sad if you never finished the series! I am more than happy to offer another mind to work on it if you are stuck in plot snares or anything, or even just want to bounce ideas. Why were you thinking of stopping it?

Yes, I will be moving out in just a few months. Yes, big-ish changes, as in picking up several new books, but not too big. (we also have some cool-looking swag in our shop now. XD)

          • Ahh, gotcha. Yeah I would be scared to publish a book before I had written the sequels! (So much changes 😂)
That is incredible! I can’t believe how fast you write. It’s truly an amazing gift and it’s awesome that you are using it to write books for God!
That’s cool! Is it a big change, or not really? I know some of your characters were already adults, like Leon and Julian.

I know, I’m sorry!! 😞 I just have kind of been feeling like maybe God is leading me to write something else right now… I’m not completely sure, though. I can try to let you know whenever I’m more certain about it. Thank you for the offer, though! (I still might take you up on it.)

Okay, so you’ve got a few months still! That’s exciting! (Swag is fun! Have you tried it out yet?)

            • Is there anything I can pray for you for?

            • Lol, well, I am just holding back on writing the third to make sure the dates and ages line up is the biggest issue. Because I’m combining characters from book 1 and book 2 which have very little overlap. XD

Aw thanks. I’m a fast writer. But math…. *shudders* I’ll have to marry a walking calculator. 🤣

Hmm, it’s somewhat of a change. It is true that Leon and Julian did reach their mid twenties, but those books were still geared toward a younger audiance (mid-late teens) with these books I have been able to do three things. 1. My author’s voice has shifted to a more mature one and I have been able to make references and comparisons in descriptions that kids just wouldn’t really get. 2. I have dealt with more mature topics, and while I have still done so in a non-graphic non-explicate way, some of the character struggles are either un-relatable to a younger audience, or they are not necessarily good for a younger audience to read about. (For instance, a young widow trying to cope with the fact that her husband was murdered by the Nazis.) It’s just not something that I would hand to a younger audience. 3. I can actually write in a way that I don’t have to explain as many things. For instance, one M.C. I have has a brother who is estranged from their father, and that never comes out explicate, but you can see it by the interactions, (and lack thereof) of the characters. In a novel geared more toward Y.A. I would need to give backstory or else have someone ask someone else why there is tension in the relationship. Whereas with an older audience, I’ve dropped subtle clues and left them to put the pieces together.
So yes, a change in some ways, but not a SUPER big change.

Well, if God is leading you to do something else then who am I to stand in the way. XD But if it ends up being an issue of just being stuck or even disinterested in the plot, I am more than happy to be a springboard or chat about it. You have my email I believe.

              Yep, a few more left!

Well, it’s in store, but I came to realize that I have to actually buy my own Merch, lol. And I don’t know if I have the money for it at the moment, though I will order a T-shirt and maybe a mug in a few weeks. (I think)

Thank you for offering! Hmm, maybe just that these last few months at home would be a blessing to my family and pleasing to the Lord, and that the big change I’m about to make will go smoothly.

How about you? Is there anything I can pray for?

          • 😂😂

Righttt, that makes sense. Well I’m glad it’s been fun practicing a new genre!

Haha, thanks! I do have your email! 🙂

Augh, yeah, that is interesting how it works (buying your own stuff.)

            Okay! 👍
Peace with my anxiety/OCD would be great, also maybe guidance for learning to know and discern God’s voice. Thank you! ❤️
