@introvert_girl Sam really said it already, but you can also add a backstory to show why the character acts the way they do. The overall tone of the story will help too. I think though that the most important thing is proactivity, like Sam said.

I write for two reasons. 1) Because I believe the Lord can work through words and that the words we speak and write have power. 2) I write because I have to. @Dragon-snapper I’ve recently started up a facebook page too, and I’m just learning the ropes. I normally share all my blog posts on there, and some updates on my WIPs (though I should do that more). I’m thinking of doing a ‘Saturday Snippets’ sort of thing where I share a piece of writing every Saturday, etc.

I don’t think that it’s too dismal by itself. Even a lot of that can be good. It creates tension, you know.
