I think the groups look good… Kari gets along with most people so finding a particularly conflicting partner for her would be hard. Nahim would be set to the forges. Ellis sent to train others. So on so forth. Fennin plans to set the pairs to work on different things so they can get going to save Lillen sooner. Also, it gets them working on strong points.

You said other bladed weapons. He could do spears or something. Also, I’m not an expert on metal working, but I don’t think that swords start out sharp, I don’t see how they could, in which case he’d be fine.
