Heh, I kind of need this as well. I started a new job overseas nearly two weeks ago now and though it’s been really overwhelming, I’ve also found myself longing to write in a better direction than where I was going before. (That probably sounds weird; I mean writing more for God’s glory and my own enjoyment than for the praise others…[Read more]

@hannah-c Boy, do I need this reminder sometimes. 🙂 To be honest, I’m at a weird stage in my writing career. I’m struggling to find time to write *coughschoolcough*, but I want to write so bad. All. The. Time. And that just doesn’t work when life is so busy. *sighs*
I guess I need to start making time to write because I don’t want my…[Read more]

@hannah-c XD That’s hilarious though. (And thanks, but I have plenty to write about. 😛 )
I’m writing a science fiction trilogy right now. Working on the last book, then to editing. *headdesk* And thank you. 🙂

@hannah-c I’m not sure if that would bother me in an autobiography. In, say, fantasy, it usually does, but only for part of the book. Short chapters around the climax to make everything feel like its slowing down and giving each moment significance can be great toward the end. I think, in an autobiography, it wouldn’t bother me as long as they…[Read more]

@hannah-c Yep. If it was funny, and the narrator was entertaining, then I wouldn’t care if I didn’t know who they were. 😀

@hannah-c So, I guess fantasy-exclusive readers wouldn’t read it, but those who read realistic fiction or biographies probably would.

@hannah-c I would read an autobiography written by someone I’ve never heard of for the same reason I would read a book about a character I’d never heard of. 😀 It would just give it an extra flair for me to realize that the character was real…or semi-real.
Answer: Yes; as long as it was interesting. 🙂 And comical and sarcastic is usually interesting.

@hannah-c Josiah’s Fire by Tahni Cullen. It’s an excellent, and true, story about a young, autistic boy.

I really liked The Green Ember series. I also love Lamplighter publishing books! All The books are from the 17-1900’s and they are all Christian based.
If you’re interested in nonfiction or historical fiction, let me know, because I have a lot more suggestions in those arenas. 😀

@hannah-c I’ll hopefully be doing NaNo in November but I’d be more than happy to try it in January. In Australia we have summer holidays through the whole month so I won’t have much to do then. If you’re interested though, there is Camp NaNo in April and July, which is pretty much the same as NaNo you just get to choose your own wordcount.
