Oh Sarah that is brilliant! Just what we needed a fresh perspective.
So she finds her sister and somehow they keep Karen hidden. Maybe she sneaks Karen down to her room. But here is a question, what is this place? What is its purpose?

@Kate, you are a brave soul but this a very interesting question.
So now, I think female villains would be more likely to be craftier. You can get some pretty creepy female villains and it’s wonderful. They say poison is a woman’s weapon but then so are assassins. Just because a woman wants a murder carried out doesn’t mean it has to be executed…[Read more]

Hello!
Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance. 😀 That is a very interesting introduction, it’s awesome you self published a novel.
Anyway, my name is Hannah and you can find out a bit about me under the “About Me” topic. 🙂
I hope you like it here with us, we can get a little nutty at times but it’s all in good fun. Don’t be afraid to just…[Read more]

Hahaha as much as it hurts that’s the kind of reaction I like to see. It’s new. It’s far from cliche. It stimulates the grey cells. Thank you.
I have not read A Tale of Two Cities yet. But hey, it’s good you cry over your own novels. You know what they say, “no tears in the author, no tears in the reader.”
(Don’t encourage him. He’ll end up with…[Read more]

Oh by all means jump in, Jade! We could use your help.
Yes, I think that is a really good fear for her to have. Perhaps she’s happy on the farm but a drought comes and they can’t make their bills so she has to go to the city to work. That gives a good tug at the heart strings.

Woooowwwww. That got crazy fast. But it’s got thrill to it, I found myself wanting to read more.
So she’s thrown into a giant cell with lots of other people. The others are all filthy and smelly but Karen pushes her way through the throng asking for her sister. (I’m not really sure where to go from here.)

Great job, Kate, I knew you could do it!
Ok, so yeah it might be better to resolve it or at least partly resolve it, maybe they call a truce. I have only really ever read one book that had a sad/semi-happy ending. The only book that ever made me tear up. Its called Counted Worthy by Leah E. Good. Its a Christian and entirely clean futuristic…[Read more]

You tell him, Kate! I shall never write about a witch either.
Oh my goats, I was think along this same line of her missing her old life! Its a sign….
Oooh love it so far. Maybe the list of names have descriptions beside them telling how everyone was offed. So, she reads this list and finds her sisters name but it is crossed out with a…[Read more]

Witches are cold and bitter, there is no hope for them to live happily ever after. Besides, she’s searching for her sister so she’s hardly likely to turn into a witch just yet.
Try again….maybe.

Oooh how thrilling!
So she leaves, but she has very little money or knowledge of the world around her. All she knows is where she’s going: to the harbor her sister had left from and never returned. She’s vowed to herself that she’ll find her sister alive or…dead. There are so many dangers for this girl who knows nothing of this world that’s…[Read more]

I wouldn’t count on the sanity returning.
Thank you. Here’s an even bigger twist. You know how people like comfortable stories with happy endings and all conflict resolved? What if the protagonist and the antagonist never actually settle their differences? What if this goes on for a couple of books? Tragic, right?
That sounds like an awesome…[Read more]
